Personally, I find it to be one of her best songs. Which means a lot, she got sooo many awesome songs.
I really enjoy the vocals, the melody, the instruments, the rather complex songwriting she's going back to with her latest songs. Generally right now it feels like Duty-RAINBOW era songwriting with better songs, videos, concerts and vocals.
Especially the guitar lines in the song scream awesome, right now, Ayu got the PERFECT combination of piano, strings, guitars, beats as main 4 instruments and others.

I loved it...both music and lyrics-wise...

I didn't expect it to be like that, at all!

I hope her whole album will surprise us so positively as well!

I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not real;y a fan of her recent singles (although I do love Last angel), so when I first listened to it, I was ready to be disappointed. But instead I love it! I love the piano part especially. Ayu's voice isn't what it used to be, but that's alright.

I lol'd so hard at this. Was this supposed to be sarcasm or something? Because Virgin Road literally just came out.

it's good. I love the piano, and how they threw some last angel melody in there. That will definitely make them both match up.

I had been getting so used to at least a small amount of disappointment from Ayu in the last couple of years, but since RnRC (except Lady Dynamite PV...) I have loved basically everything! I have really liked Next Level e.t.c but it didn't feel like her best, not like these latest songs. I keep expecting something bad after so much good and then she puts out something even better.

I actually love the kick drum in the song, really puts a punch to the song. So strong. I do think she has done better vocals in the past, but these are strong and a slightly different way of singing for her so still good! The instruments work so well together, just wow!

I love that the chorus and verses have as much power as each other and could both be choruses on their own, so much so that I can't actually tell which is meant to be which. This is so refreshing and new sounding, but still Ayu, like Last Angel also felt to me. The lyrics are also wonderful. She is starting to add some new themes which is also refreshing after some themes getting a bit repetitive.

Ahh, this is on repeat all the time! I think I might be annoying my flatmates..! This has me so excited for Love Songs. Waaheeeeyyy Ayu!

Woah, didn't realise quite how much I had managed to write. Think that alone shows so much I am liking this right now!

It's definitely a grower. I was like WTF WHAT IS THIS at first listen, but I'm liking it more now at the second time. I HATE the YEA-EYYYYYYY!!! though omg... She sounds like she does live in concert.

I think I was a bit silly to expect something on the level of awesome of Microphone.

The melody is quite nice, it's not too rock, not too pop... it melts together and I love the verses and chorus. I think this fits nicely with the other single songs.

However, I hate the part around 33 where it sounds like she's swallowing her tongue. The YEA-EYYY part throws me off too. The song would be perfect without them!

Don't you think ayu did the YEY-EYYY parts on purpose, to show the real emotion of the song? I think some people here are just being too nit picky about it. I think it fits the mood of the song perfectly.

her "YEAH" is one of my favorite parts of the song. it gives it more personality and right when I heard the first one she did I was like "okay.. this song is totally ****ing awesome omg"
her vocals seriously remind me of the intro to "I am..." which is pretty much godly.

This song is such an anomaly to me. The title "Love song" would make you think it'd be some ballad similar to Days, a dramatic love ballad. But the song goes so much deeper. She sings about life, and how she cannot live her life without such things. The lyrics are really outstanding, I think. The part where she says "life without compromises would be meaningless" is true. We go through life by facing difficulties and learning from them. It also reinforces her belief that we must experience things during our lives, like how she always says even if she could find out her future, she doesn't want to know because it would make life boring. It's so true, even if it is our wish to know what the future holds sometimes... "you're damaged and you're tattered, that's how you know strength" even if your life is filled with adversity and difficulties, that's how you know you're alive and it makes you stronger. I just really love these lyrics, it has such a good view on life.

As far as the other components of the song, I have no complaints. I love the raw emotion in her voice, I love the beat of the song and the arrangement is awessome. It seems difficult to classify this song into a genre because it seems to incorporate many different influences. I really can't wait to hear this song in better quality so I can clearly hear the different instruments and variations in the arrangement.

If this song is a preview of the quality of the level of the album, I am very excited!!!

once again I agree with everything you said. I am so glad she didn't go the generic route and just release a typical love song like a lot of artists will be doing this winter. this song is going to sound so amazing in HQ.
