The magazine -- tabloid or not -- wouldn't report it if it didn't had an ounce of truth in it. Max Matsuura isn't exactly a celebrity so the fact they're reporting means it's probably true, they wouldn't go out of their way to fabricate it.

But anyway, not surprising. Japanese showbizz is extremely corrupt and it does have mafia ties so...
