Absolutely not. Namie's sound is too mainstream for Ayu and we already saw what happens when you combine Ayu with something too mainstream -> Dream ON = atrocity. If they were to do a rock song or a heavy ballad that might even work, otherwise NO.

No, I'm trying to imagine their voices together and it doesn't sound right to me. I think Namie's vocals are much softer than Ayu's in a way. I think Ayu would need someone with more rough around the edge vocals like Kumi. Plus Ayu and Kumi's styles overlap more often than than Ayu and Namie's. I could see a You were.../Days/Suki de type collaboration for the two

i would so love this idea! if namie could collab with yamapi, why not ayu? but i honestly doubt it'll happen, in the near future, anyway. but that picture Rocky_Raven posted is really amazing. now i wish they would collaborate for real.

Its not just that ayu>namie, its just that... their styles are totally different, its like

^ but namie can actually sing :s why would she be embarassed? if they did a ballad, she can sing real well, even imo, better than ayu vocally, though ayu has more emotion... and if they did a dance song she would outdance ayu so i don't see how namie would be embarassing in any case :\

regardless, i agree voices don't really match for a duet but ayu pulled off the naoya duet so we could be suprised if they ever did

^ Yeah. Namie is about 100x better of a singer than Ayu. It seriously pains me to listen to ayu most of the time. I don't think Namie would be the one to be embarrassed.
