Usually for crying I don't need any songs. But if I'm listening to these three I suddenly burst into tears.
Yoko Kanno - be human Carpenters - I Won't Last A Day Without You (I also love the Shiina Ringo and Hikki version though) and Memorial Address from Ayu.

I never cry when it comes to music, or lyrics, mostly. I never really listen to lyrics, anyway — I don't recognize words on songs well, and it's hard for me to understand the message of songs, so maybe that's why I don't really cry, but there is one of two songs that make me cry.
Concrete Angel by Martina McBride, the only song I cry because of the lyrics I hear. And the fact this song is based on a true story. Bad Romance, by Lady Gaga, not because of the lyrics or melody, but the memories I have for this song. This was when I fell in love with Lady Gaga and been a huge fan of hers ever since!

Dear god, that song is so depressing I can't even handle it. I'd say Faye Wong's 寒武纪 (Cambrian Age) too, but I've never actually cried to it, just got major chills.

Lately Do It Again has been making me teary and I think it's because a) the melody in it is beautiful b) I went to CDL 11-12 and she opened with it and I was so taken back from actually being in the presence of the Queen herself and c) I went to CDL 11-12 with my boyfriend who is on exchange in Japan and I now I am back in Canada, so I am reminded of him when I listen to it now...

I try not to listen to music when I feel sad because then I will associate those feelings with those songs and I won't listen to them anymore. The association is too painful.
Now songs that make me cry because they are so emotionally moving - those are the best.

Only one song through my life. I treasure her like my everything, I use it to cry, let it all out and its gives me strenght.
Eminem - The Way I Am I also use Rock Bottom, If I had, Beautiful and Marshall Mathers by him, but The Way I Am can be played on my funeral. The song that made me who I am today.

Hmm.. Angela Aki- Kodoku no Kakera (especially the piano version) Angela Aki- Tasogare (so sad & beautiful) Ayu- forgiveness (especially the instrumental) Ayu- HANABI (not a huge fan, but it just oozes emotion) Ayu- Curtain call In a nutshell: almost any angela aki song and ayu ballad can get me going. The above songs just get to me more.
