i believe in second chances & i do think people can change, but i honestly believe Chris Brown has done nothing to show remorse against what he did to Rihanna. CB is a talented kid, but i still think he has issues to sort out and he needs to work on that instead of wondering why people are still upset with him.

Nicki Minaj's performance...girl, no. if you're gonna do something that will piss off people, make a statement. instead, it was so obvious that it was for shock value and it came off as a damn mess.

i'm so proud of Adele. "21" is an amazing album and tbh, i can never get tired of "Rolling In The Deep." i'm glad she's back.

i'm glad EDM is getting recognized more nowadays. Skrillex's remix of "Cinema" is sooo good, ngl. i'm glad it won something.

Dubstep music won some awards. Embarrassing.

Adele won like, 6 awards though, so that redeems the awards show.

Adele's music = great.

Adele's personality (at least in some of the interviews I've read) = crap.

So, I'm torn.

Katy, what the hell were you thinking, in all aspects of your choices this award show. Her hair was a HOT MESS. Espically when she crimped it. That's so mid 2000's, its not even funny. And Extraterrestrial is such a good song, but she ruins it whenever she performs it.

Seriously. I liked Adele back in the day when I first saw her in Vogue...but especially when she was up on stage...to quote my dad, "I've seen better personality from a carpet."

She's still much better than the clown Nicki.

She's been acting particularly high and mighty these days.

With Nicki, she's odd and strange, and her performance did nothing for me, but she sounded good, and she was interesting to me. Katy was nothing of the sort during this show.

Nicki might be ridiculous, but I like her cause she's fun.

She kinda reminds me of koda, cause I like koda for her lighthearted attitude.

Nicki is crazier though.

I guess Adele deserves her attitude, but idk. She turned me off just a tad.

I have a strong dislike for Katy Perry. And she's ugly.

I agree about Nicki. With Adele, she's been acting as if her music is a cut above other singers. I mean, I understand that she's super popular now, but she needs to be a bit more humble. Not just her personality at the show, but from the interviews in magazines I've been reading.

wait, how is Adele's personality crap?

i saw the 60 Minutes interview with Anderson Cooper that aired right before the Grammy's & she was incredibly charming. she even warmed my dad's cold heart (he is the biggest music snob, lol). maybe that charm doesn't rub off in print, since you don't have the context of the atmosphere or tone of her voice. she can be quite sarcastic sometimes.

Yeah, I saw that too, and she was nice. I guess its the subject. When asked about other singers like Lady Gaga she's basically put them down saying that they are skinny and just "make music for the eyes" and how her music is I guess somehow better because she's not skinny. She's been attaching her weight to the quality of her music.

EDIT: She also insulted being on the cover of Vogue, saying she doesn't want to be on it, but she's on it now :/

ohhhh i see. well, the media is always pushing the image/weight agenda on all the female artists & they like to pit them against one another. i think it's unfair since Lady Gaga, Adele, Katy Perry, & all the others do something differently.

i've always seen it as her response to the weight issue. she just makes music, & that's that. she should probably word it differently, but i really don't think she means any harm.

really? I didn't even know how she could do that. in my mind she has very warm and friendly attitude, didn't realise if she can be that bad. yeah she's a great singer but if thats who she is, thats a really turn off for me.

for Katy, I was hoping for extravaganza show based on her tweet and the reality neither good nor bad. I like the energy of her performance and love Part of Me. it's #3 in iTunes now

Well, I can't respect someone who is hypocritical, saying she doesn't want to be on the cover of Vogue and then months later is all over it, more than once. Also, she has been losing weight, because she was much bigger before, so I don't know if she really is vain and doesn't want to admit it or if its health related. To me, its not that she's trying to change society's views on bigger girls, she's insulting skinny people while she's at it. As if we are all shallow and vain.

With Katy, and I do like her somewhat, but I dunno. I just expected more.

^yeah, I cant stand when people resort to insulting thinner people just to get their points across.

I have a lot of qualms with weight issues and people and the media. So I dont want to get into it.

I'm not too insulted by those comments from Adele because, hey, she's a pop singer and most of the time they are judged on their looks before their voices. I'm sure she's heard from people in the industry tons of things, so I wouldn't be offened by it. She's a slightly overweight young woman who is expressing her opinion and views of what she's seen. That or she was being sarcastic.

Though the comment about Gaga is unjustified, they have two completely different sounds and images. She's had to work very hard to get where she's at in the pop world, and I have nothing but respect for her.

Adele has always come across to me, as very down to earth. If she seemed high and ungrateful, well couldn't that just be nervousness and happiness? I wouldn't know how to react if I won that many awards, but I sure wouldn't be standing still pulling the moderate and shy girl crap. **** the law of Jante.

About the weight thing, I find it very hard to believe it's an actual quote that "I make better music than them, because they're skinnier. " Really? Only thing I've ever heard her say about her weight, was that she did not want to force herself to lose weight; she likes herself and she likes eating. I can't even begin on how much respect I have for that.

We don't know her reasons for being on the cover of VOGUE. I could imagine, that the conditions for the shooting changed and she then accepted. Before she perhaps did not want anything to do with it, because of an unresolved issue with them. We don't know the details.
