As many times as I've listened to "Dancing Queen" to try to convince myself to like the song, I just can't get into it. I don't think that it's a grower either. I personally believe it should have been left on the cutting room floor. As far as "I Got A Boy", it looks like they ripped this style straight from f(x) from the sound (based on the the snippet we've heard) all the way down to the styling. While I'm always up for a change in concept, I don't feel as though it reflects them at all and the fact that it mimics another group's style so closely whose under their same record label seems very unoriginal to me (don't get me wrong, I don't think anything is truly original but this hits a little too close to home in my opinion since their labelmate's image is built on this look and sound). Despite this, I do think "I Got A Boy" sounds great from the teaser clip and am looking forward to hearing the song in full as well as the rest of them album. As usual, I'll be waiting until the repackage comes out to order the album.

I try to keep an open mind but idk, can't get into this AT ALL.
I just know if they were to release Dancing Queen instead of Gee they would be nobodies right now. Not releasing that song is the best thing to happen to them. Should have just left it to rot.

Dancing queen is something extra, isn't the title track, so i don't care, but they look so good in the video.

And yes, the pics look a lot like a f(x) or 2NE1 concept. Poor Sunny and Hyoyeon, their hair is so horrible

finally saw the Dancing Queen thing. Meh. It's kind of boring, but I like the vocals whatever. I have no frame of reference for the original song, but I don't really care for those types of songs to begin with.

I do kinda think they should have just let it rot. Even the dance is boring.


As far as the new concept reflecting other kpop groups...idk imo there aren't that many grand concepts in kpop to begin with...you either have the urban edgy look, or the girly look. And then mixtures in between. So.

I kinda feel very much alone but I don't care I love Dancing Queen ♥ I used to HATE the original, so I guess it's kind of weird I do like Dancing Queen so much. It's not really such a powerful song but Idk, it's just nice to listen to and it's a nice 'xmas gift' to offer. Gives them the opportunity to use that present/past/future concept as well I guess.

Their MBC special was filmed yesterday, they performed 16 songs over a 23 hour shoot! Fighting! The 1st hour will be shown on the 1st January and then the last part will be shown the week after~

I wonder if all 16 songs are from the album (they've never had 16 songs on an album or a repackage although they've been close to having that many songs on repackages) or if they performed any of their previous title tracks like "The Boys" and "Mr. Taxi (Korean Ver.). Anyways, I'm really looking forward to seeing it, what an awesome way to start the new year!

I honestly don't anticipate anything more from thie Album but "I Got A Boy".

Due to how eff'ed up Korea's Music Industry is, only one song from an Album needs to be good and the rest can be air pockets loss within the confines of one's anus, only to come out months later as those silent killers. And even still, that one supposedly good song is only released alongside the Album, not before so you can make some kind of informed decision before purchasing the Album so what the eff Korea.

Ergo: The rest of this Album will be crap with the exception of one song that will sound as if it could have been something if they had worked on it harder.

And just by including "Dancing Queen" AND and putting it 2nd, they have already conjunktified this setlist up.

말해봐 sounds nice, nothing fancy but it has this retro xmas-ish vibe.
At least it makes 2 songs I'll most likely like lol.

The tracklist seems... random lol really, no catchy title, if not cheasy. And no remake, that's surprising lol.

Wonder what SM are doing though, first they announce a poster, then no poster and then they announce there will be a poster again?! Good thing I've been waiting to order my copies...
