Ah, thanks for the info! I'm excited for the album already! The bonus DVD is disappointing though, I might get the CD only version this time (whenever I can actually buy the damn CD). So weird to have Try Again on this album too, but I can't really complain, I love that song to death.
Sidenote: since Try Again apparently has a reeeally good tie-up now, they're releasing a digital EP, Try Again -Special Edition-, on 25.6. This is notable mainly for the fact that the EP contains the full version of Place To Go, which I'm looking forward to hearing!

Seems like the promo campaign for TREASURES is kicking off. There's now a special site for the album, and they've revealed the covers (not the biggest fan) and put up a short version PV for ONE -Kimi ga Iru Riyuu- (it's nice though nothing much).

TREASURES is available on iTunes internationally! Kinda weird since most of her discography is Japanese-only, only special digital releases have been available up to now. Anyway, head there if you're interested in preordering and previews.

New cover album! I AM GILLE. 4 ～Anime Song Anthems～ will be released on March 4th in CD-only and CD+DVD editions. I'm mostly excited because one of the tracks included is Butter-Fly, the opening song of Digimon Adventure, and I LOVE that song so much (plus I'm SO WEAK for anything Digimon-related)! Plus, one of the songs is arranged by I've Sound, which I'm never opposed to. More info here and under the cut.

Update time! The first post is now displaying actually relevant info, lol.
 (not that anyone's gonna be looking...) Cover album best will be released next week, which... well, I can't say it was unexpected, lol. I'm side-eyeing the tracklist a little though I know the choices make sense since those songs were used for promo, but still... Hyakumankai no "I love you" instead of LIFE or I Dreamed a Dream? (Don't get me wrong, I still love Hyakumankai... such cheese  ) Hikoukigumo instead of Eki or Turn It Into Love? smh. The new song is not blowing my mind, but it's sweet, I like it well enough. Honestly, I just hope we get the tracks on the extra disc somehow... I'm such a sucker for all her live things, she's pretty awesome from what I've seen.

 Though with all those covers I'm just not that interested. I prefer original material. The sales are a shame.

I agree, I prefer hearing her original material. She seems to be much more stable quality-wise with original songs. I'm hoping she might release a new original album/single/something after the covers best, her release pattern so far seems to suggest that that would be likely.

AHHHH I FINALLY HAVE GILLE'S NEW ALBUM and it's about time too, it's over THREE MONTHS since it was released, I'm not used to waiting this long! On first listen, I'm loving it, but I'm gonna need an intense headphone session to determine how much. I might vomit my feelings here later, and I'll definitely upload the album asap!
EDIT: Download the album here! I don't know if anyone else has had as much trouble trying to find this album as I have, but if anyone has, your suffering is over! I love this album. GILLE's original work is her best, and she shines again on this release. My favourite tracks are Invitation, Stay, Sky, and Night and Day. Invitation is fantastic at building a mysterious and immersive atmospehere and showcases GILLE's vocals fantastically as she both sings softly and shows off how powerful her voice is. Stay has GILLE emoting with all she has, and it's amazing. Sky is a great upbeat pop-rock track in the vein of Believe Yourself, and Night and Day is the kind of beautiful, quiet ballad that she's great at making. I still need some more time to absorb all the tracks fully and give a proper listen to the second disc, but so far, definitely an album worth my money.
