UVERworld to release two PV collections in March

Rock band UVERworld will release two PV collections, titled "UVERworld Video Complete -act.2-", on March 19.

The upcoming release will compile all of the band's PVs from their 16th single "Kuoria" (released September 2010) to their most recent "Nanosecond" (December 2013). It will be released in three different versions: DVD Limited Edition, Blu-ray Limited Edition, and DVD Regular Edition. The DVD and Blu-ray Limited Editions will come with a DVD containing 14 songs from 'UVERworld ARENA LIVE 2013 winter 12.25 at Nippon Budokan Queen's PARTY' held on December 25 at Nippon Budokan, as well as a photo booklet. The Blu-ray Edition will also include a PV for "GOLD (3D ver.)".

UVERworld gets a new member

UVERworld has announced that they will be getting a new member! Their new 6th member is Seika, who will be in charge of manipulator and saxophone.

Seika has been UVERworld's support member ever since the band was formed in 2000. As they will be having their 10th debut anniversary on 2015/07/06 next year, they have decided to include Seika in to the band as an official member to celebrate their 10th anniversary.

UVERworld to sing ending theme for movie 'MARCHING -Ashita e-'

It's been revealed that UVERworld will sing the ending theme for the movie 'MARCHING -Ashita e-'.

UVERworld and Sakurada Dori, who plays the movie's protagonist, have been on friendly terms in their private lives. Sakurada himself approached the band and asked them to sing the ending theme, and UVERworld wrote a new song called "Arubeki Katachi" for the movie.

TAKUYA∞ (Vo) commented, "One of my dreams was to work with Dori someday," and continued, "It turned out to be a special song, so along with the movie, I hope people will listen to our song and our message. It would make us happy if it would encourage everyone."

'MARCHING -Ashita e-' is a youth film that depicts the interchange between a marching band from Yokohama and a brass band from Iwaki. After advanced screening on May 24 in Kanagawa Prefecture, it will open in theaters nationwide in July. The release date for "Arubeki Katachi" has not been decided at this time.

The single will include a total of 4 tracks. The last track features vocalist, TAKUYA∞'s voice memo on the track.

UVERworld will release their new single "Nanokame no Ketsui" on June 18.

"Nanokame no Ketsui" is the UVERworld's 26th single, and the band has already been performing the title track at their lives since last year. TAKUYA∞ (Vo) wrote the lyrics to this song after hearing the melody in his dream. The jacket covers feature a frog that was embroidered on the school uniform that students in his dream were wearing.

As the coupling tracks, the single will include a song called "Betsu Sekai" as well as an instrumental version of "Nanokame no Ketsui" and a voice memo that TAKUYA∞ recorded on November 9, 2013. The limited edition will come with a DVD containing a live footage.

UVERworld's 8th Album Dropping this July

UVERworld is on fire. Following the announcement that the now 6-piece band will be releasing a new single called "Nanokame no Ketsui" this June, their OHP just threw another surprise to the fans. On July 2, UVERworld will release another album, their 8th as of last count.

The yet to be titled album will contain the "Space Battleship Yamato 2199" theme "Fight for Liberty" and their December 2013 single "Nano-second". Two versions will be released: one regular and one limited edition with the latter including a DVD which contains 50 minutes of previously unreleased footage.

Finally, to celebrate UVERworld's latest releases and their upcoming live at Kyocera Dome on July 5, the band will also launch a campaign. Purchase certain UVERworld items from June 9 to August 31 at particular stores and you will be rewarded with a privilege card. This privilege card will grant you access to a special site, available only from July 6 to August 31, containing exclusive video and rare contents. UVERworld to release new album in July

It's been revealed that UVERworld will release a new album (currently untitled) on July 2.

The album announcement was made on May 31 during the band's live 'UVERworld LIVE TOUR 2014 Warm-UP Gig' at Shibuya eggman in Tokyo. This will be their first album after the addition of Seika (Manipulator, Sax).

The new album will be released in both limited and regular editions. The limited edition DVD will contain 50-minutes worth of live footage, as well as an interview titled 'core ability3' in which the band talk about the withdrawal and joining of members.

It makes me sad that I have lost so much interest in them, while they were one of my favorite bands a few years ago :/
