i like namie... but only like 10songs.... specialy.. her new stuff from put em up -up ^_^....

i got her style album.. but i didnt enjoy it much... -_-

but i think she can dance better than boa

I like Ayu better hehe.. but old-school Namie is very good too! She revolutionized the j-pop industry too, remember. Her new stuff is very predictable and plain because it just sounds like any kind of hip hop in the US =/ I still listen to it though cause I'm a fan of Namie ^.^* ahahahaha (COME is a very good song)

Same here! As much as I love Hamasaki-san, I still loved Namie Amuro first, so she's still my JPOP idol. I adore both of them, but if you had to make me choose between one or the other, I would choose Amuro-san, hands down. Why? Just because. She's completely talented as a singer &dancer, &being a dancer as well - I've danced my whole life - I just relate to her more. That's my two cents.

I like both but I like ayumi a lot more. Namie's songs are fun and nice to listen to but Ayumi's songs really absorb me. They kind of give me inspiration.

i have to say, the first person i heard when i got into j-pop which was Namie, shes my homegurl, i love her voice and style. then again you have ayu.. but the first ayu song i heard which was Vogue..and i didnt think her singing abilities where there yet..but her voice grew on me and her vocie has improved alot..i think her lyrics are deeper and thoughtful. but overall i go namie no matter what.. even though, i own the same amt of Namie and Ayu albums but i have more ayu singles but i think i love them both equally.

but i really love her new style .. i can't really say much about how she revolutionized j-pop or whatever cuz i wasn't here for that .. but yea ..

its hard to compare .. namie kinda went to hiphop more now .. and she dances SO MUCH and its incredible ..

both of them need to work on their singing .. but ayu writes her own lyrics .. but namie is way better at dancing ..

so yea .. both of them have their good and bad sides! and i love 'em both!

hmm, well I LOVE Namie... especially her new stuff... I think she is very talented and a great dancer... but I just love Ayu more. Her songs are more meanigfull... she is a great performer... she is just an inspiration... so I voted on Ayu

I listened to a bunch of other singers like Hikaru Utada before I began to listening to Ayumi, but as soon as I heard the first verse of As If Ayumi permentally became 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th in my heart.I just love all of her songs, they are so meaningful.

I have heard some of Namie's Songs but I have loved Ayu's Songs for much longer and she was my first J-pop singer that I was into besides Megumi Hayashibara if you really consider her a J-pop since she mostly does Animes.

i like both.. i mean if you like really good meaningful music then ayus for sure, but when it comes to just beats and dance music then namie =] plus theyre both really talented and hardworking artists whos got their own awesome skills. so i put both, even though personally i like ayu more or else i wouldnt be here =]
