Snip a bit of Grantith's opinion, and a bit of AfanforXX's opinion, and there you have mine.
After }{ it's gone down with occassional songs I like like Memorial Address, Moments, No way to say. But overall, it's definately lacking the lustre and power her older songs had. |

I think Ayumi's peak was at her Evolution period! The period where she had the short hair and all the way till she released H. After H, I thought Free & Easy took time to digest for me, which I love a lot now. But I thought Rainbow was quite disappointing. There were great songs in there though, but yar, I was so shocked at D.A.I's composition of real Me. Yar, I think RAINBOW seemed like a trial run for Ayumi. A chance for her to try out something new.
I think that this time round, her music career seems more stable. I mean she already has gotten a lot of hype. Probably it's because some article suddenly said Ayumi's fame is going downhill, that's why people believe in it and now ... yar, you've got to admit it has disastrous consequences. But still, I think Ayumi has peaked her career. But that doesn't mean she won't peak her career again! I mean, yar I don't see a lot of promising artistes that can be compared to Ayumi's standard. (I think the closest I ever see to be capable of accepting the title of Queen of J-pop was Utada but then she's heading for the US, so I don't really know any other suitable candidate. BoA? Nah ... ) |

ayu has peaked. she does not sell millions anymore. we have to come to terms with that. however, i truly hope that she iwll have another peak again, a great comeback, even if it lasts for one album....
