Why are we not surprised?

If I was her band, I would have jumped her for blaming it on them. They're the one who saved their asses, she just stood there, dancing, looking stupid.

It was probably one of the funniest things I have ever seen on SNL, until she blamed the band, and then I felt pretty miffed, since it was obvious what had happened.
Maybe it will make Ashlee Simpson realize that there is a reason why her sister got so famous and she didn't, ASHLEE CAN'T SING. Then, if this is a perfect world, Ashlee will just fade away and we'll never hear from her again.

This is ridiculous...

The media must have nothing better to write a report about, this is the most blown-out-of-proportion news story I have ever witnessed...

Yet nobody EVER says anything when Britney lip-synchs...

Yeah Ashlee isn't the best singer, she only got a record deal because her sister, blah blah blah... What else is new?

I feel bad for her actually... She didn't exactly handle the situation very well, but she is still fairly a new artist...

And her fans have the nerve to start criticizing her, she worked her ass off singing (or lip-synching) shows for you.

hmm now that i think of it..feel sorry for her
i think the dance she did..is actually to make herself calm down
god..she must be devastating when that happen
atleast she didn't cry in front of the audience and she handle it quite well...
hence the crying back stage?

Oh well. You goof once in a while. Move on. A lot of artists have messed up in the past, she'll live. People are like pirahnnas. They like to attack whatever they can.

it's not blown out of proportion because of the fact shes lip synching

its just because it became obvious in such a funny way! it was revealed .. and she handled it pretty badly

the funny thing is:

britney spears didnt lip synch when she was on SNL. lol!

But ashlee has no reason to lip synch. She doesnt have vigorous dance routines during her songs.

i can understand why britney spears lip synchs. it's gotta be hard to sing live while dancing so much. boa does too. i don't blame them.

but why would ashlee lip synch? she has no reason to. it's amusing tho that she was awfully so embrassed about it. but to blame her band, that's just sinking so low.

XD. i find this amusing.

it was quite sad. and then she tried to cover it up by dancing.
and i heard her dad said it was due to acid reflux or something.

It sounded more like 'vocal aid'... The volume of the voice kept shifting from low to high... I don't think it was completely lip-synching... And when she performed 'Pieces Of Me' earlier in the night, she wasn't lip-synching... the vocal aid might have helped, but she definitely wasn't lip-synching...

Well she has a chance to prove herself tonight at the Radio Music Awards (Live)... I gotta see this...

Her band did start playing the wrong song though... They could have easily just went into 'Autobiography', ignoring the vocals... She already performed 'Pieces Of Me' earlier in the show, why start to play it again?

I thought it was really funny but hey what can ya do? People make mistakes and we realize that it's part of life. But when Ayu does it, it's just plain cute *cough*VOYAGE*cough*

Namie never lip-synchs, and she can still sing GREAT live doing those sweaty dance moves...

did anyone see the VMA performance when she sang the same song? This is leading me to think that she can't sing live.

I think the dance she did at the atart was funnier than the hoedown :p

I just wished she handled it more proffesionally... resuming like nothing had happened would have been a graceful recovery

That was so funny. She's an idiot, just like her sister, but at least her sister admits she's half idiot, half cleaver person who does half her dumb stuff to keep ratings up.
