When it comes to fashion, Japan is one of the most influencial place.
Ayu did come with fishnets for about 3-4 years ago and other things too.
... I hate to break it to you ... but Japan doesn't affect America as much as you may think.

But it does. Especially when it comes to fashion and architecture, that of Europe. US unfortuanately has lost its fashion edge.

Everyone in marketing knows this secret.

That is so true.. just think Las Vegas... what is it made of? take all the stuff they have like buildings and structures and what you have left? sand...

Also in the design this is true... there are lots famous graphic designers for instance, from asia europe and latin america and i don't see too much ppl from the usa.

hehe this thread went off topic a long time ago! XD

I think a lot of people have come to a simillar consesus in this thread so please let's stop using irony and sarcasm and show a bit of respect instead of each one comming and dropping their bitter comments because I personally don't see a need to perpetuate that neh?

Japanese fashion is spread everywhere around the whole.
Especially, right now: LOOSE SOCK. This is 100% japanese.

Almost everything that has to do with technology, comes from Japan because they are way more advance in that.

this thread is going way off topic, but loose socks? if you're talking about leg warmers, they're from the 80's. american thing. japan just never got out of the trend when america did.

hahaha it seems that our friend here is a little bit too in love with ayu!

it's normal for a person to have a dog..... it's not a matter of "who's copying who". having a dog as a pet is a common thing to do, my friend. but if you're talking about fashion sense or most notably, her song/lyrics the it's a different kind of story.

Ayu has hair ... I guess we're all copying Ayu o.O

To some extent Japanese fashion affects American fashion ... but it takes a WHILE ... many of my Japanese friends have told me that clothing that is 'cool' here now .. they wore years ago in Japan lol

Fashion is something hard keep track of. No one can really say from where some style came from bcuz it changes with time and regions. So yeah.. you can never really say who copied who.
