It is good for BoA since she is a korean artist not many korean artist have even touched her peak BoA is a historical icon she is breaking records for korean artist. About knocking off Ayumi Hamasaki.... She was the only artist around the A Best days so it did sell alot Namie Amuro was gone and they're were not alot of artist out at the time. She is a great artist extremly talented but her music sucks her composer is horrible he is hurting her career i am being blunt about saying what everyone is afraid to say. She sings awesome but this guy producing her tracks is hurting her she needs to produce herself or with DAI or HAL again they made the best music that suits her! I agree with alot of you.
I do music myself and i understand what all of you are saying. Yes BoA taking ayu's crown is way out of question right now she would need to make her music more mature and more serious lyrics. She is young. Ayumi needs to be in touch with herself again all this glitz and happy tunes are not ayu. Like when alot of fans heard inspire they knew what her music was coming to. It made alot of people nerveous but then Carols came and it saved the day. It shows BoA is working harder than ever she is succesful in both countries Korea and Japan and soon China. Just as Namie Amuro is popular in all Asia no one has forgot her it is just that she is keeping a low profile in Japan she even said it in her interview in the UK u guys read she was on MTV ASia Aid that is who people wanted to see she is on her rise again. BoA is approaching the million mark and more is expected to come... i love ayu,boa,and namie

Was that when Hikki was just coming out because i know Hikki gave Ayu a run for her money various times
can't beleive i forgot my favorite artist of all Utada. Automatic could beat any song lol

You've never seen the whole DISTANCE/A BEST thing have you?
DISTANCE and A BEST were released on the same day and there was a blitz of media wondering who would beat who? Hikki or Ayu. BUT! Back on topic! As much as I would like LOVE PSYCHEDELICO to get no. 1 I doubt it will be Kumi or BoA, who I have a feeling will be no. 2 or something soon.

I wish Hikaru would just let go and do the music she wants not change the genre cuz of america. I use to be hypnotized by her music just as Boa did it to me. That is what i am talking about the reason why ayu is slacking is because Hikki is not there kicking her butt right now but come this summer oooohhhhhhhh i feel it good times. They will be at each other again means great music for us. and BoA will be like*what do i do now go back to Korea and make a new album* while the two go at it and then like Namie will come back and bust more moves and put out some hot Azz music i can't wait!!! but BoA will change her style i can't wait till it happens Ayu is not retiring for years she needs to go back to Ayu Ready so she can be entertaining lol again i loved the show. I actually met Hikaru though i spoke with her and she said it is going to happen she is going to do somthing awesome when her new single comes out i can't wait. You guys wanna meet Hikki come to new york that girl don't stay still but please don't attack her about Ayu. Hikaru is seen quite often. And someone tell me why Ayu is forever in LA LOL and why is Boa always in the UK LOL

Nice one BoA! I think it's funny that everyone's scrambling about figuring out who'll be the next J-Pop Queen or Princess or whatever. It's ridiculous, really, they're all so different. Still, 2005 should bring about a lot of overdue change, particularly for BoA and Ayu. They both have new singles off new albums coming out soon, right? Good for them, I'm excited to hear. Recent releases have been a bit of a let-down for both of them.
On a random though, so long as Arashiro Beni disappears into the desert forever, I'll be pleased.

excuse me to give a thought about this case...
first of all i would say congrats for BoA that she has regain more popularity than before. But i don't think that her carier will be more than this point. It's really hard to maintain 3 countries carier (japan, korea and now china) BoA can't concentrate with what she will be doing for her next step. and looks of her sales its not really great compare to ayu... i know that japanese music industry is really weak this day because of piracy and downloading. But ayu sales still above 1 million copies marks. It's really great for her to do that in this point of her carier... but looks BoA her sales is under ayu "my story" although its her best album...so i dont think that BoA will be a next jpop queen. Her nationality is korean and i don't think japanese like their queen from the other country, right? i appreciate BoA job, she really working hard for her carier... but her music, her performance and her fashion is not really great like ayu does before. So... ayu will be still the queen of jpop for this century i think.. n.b : "From what i know, ayu "A-best" sold 5.4 million copies... it was from oricon source i think

No, Ku and LOVE PSYCHEDELICO took the 1st and 2nd spot respectively, BoA got 3rd....I think. I haven't checked the dailies today.

Sad i hope at least Koda gets #1 if she does somebody better say somthing that is a great acheivement because i been following koda and BoA's career she is going to have some awesome songs this year!! i can feel it the competiton is going to heat up for sure i hope when my LP comes it it's gonna feel good dang guys music is so hard lol so i feel for all of them lol
