I voted 2, I think most of her music is really nice, plus, she's still selling well after year, she has a hugefanbase and she seems nice, too. She's not an 'idol' anymore, she's already a respected artist. Plus, she must be a good mom.

Namie Amuro. I've heard only two of her songs, but I think she's good. I think she's a good singer, but I don't admire her like Ayu. =)

I voted Yes.

She has managed to remain a powerful influence on the musical industry for such a long time, so of course I have respect for her. Though her new style is somewhat sketchy in my opinion, I believe she does the job of an entertainer... to entertain.

I'm not a fan, but I listen to her music and respect her as one of the past J-pop queens.

Yes, I truly do respect her as an artist, most definitely.
The 1st Namie song I heard was "Chase the Chance" and I remembered that it was used as a rather old J-drama's theme/ending song in the mid-'90s. I thought the song was very catchy and soon my sister bought her 181920 album. Then I just fell in LOVE with her music. Moreover, I admire her persistance. She has been officially singing ever since her teenage years. Although she was absent for an amount of time due to her pregnancy, she is just so eager to get back into shape and entertain us once more with her music.

I don't like the newer more hip-hop songs but most of my fave jpop songs of all time come from Org.dancetracks-Style era namie!!

Oooh, Amuro! Of course I respect her, and not just for her staying power and her music. (which is awesome) I also highly respect her for all the things she's been through in her life, and how strong she has been through all of it. (Her mother, her divorce, her son...) Go Namie! You're my hero(ine)! (Seriously, I decided to write a paper on her being my celebrity hero over Ayu! )

I simply LOVE her.
She's talented, has a beautiful voice, is beautiful herself, and has such great, catchy songs!

I LOVE Namie.
I voted: Yes, She is an icon.

I really do enjoy some of her music. But she seems very snobbish. A friend of mine saw her on a red carpet type deal once, and said she was very rude. Whether or not that's true, she just gives off a cold air to me. She often sings like she'd rather be doing something else, and the album title "Queen of Hip-Pop" isn't exactly humble, is it? Still, I'm always up for a good Namie song. I do respect her as a successful artist, though. She's been on top since the mid-90s.

I voted yes eventho there's a couple of things I don't like about her that much :

- I don't find her vocals or her voice to be anything that special. they work for her songs tho
- I think her dancing is overrated. she's not that good , BoA and Koda Kumi for example are far better than her. her dancing is a bit stiff
- I don't really find her that sexy or particularly attractive myself

but I still consider myself a fan of hers , I really like her hiphop stuff like her music from STYLE and onwards and especially her Suite Chic project. and WoWa is really fun & catchy

She is amazing. Not only do I love her fashion and style of music (all styles, including old and new) but also for her live performances. That girl can get up there and dance and sing 20+ songs and still manage to find the strength to stand! It just amazes me. She's very talented and has managed to stay in the business for so long and still find new tunes and sounds for her music. I just wish she'd start writing her own songs...

I respect her for her hard work, talent and perseverance but I don't think I'll ever be a fan of her music.
