Sophie Ellis-Bextor's comeback!

Remember the hit dance anthem Murder On The Dancefloor? It was very popular, entered charts everywhere, even the US dance charts. The song, a hit across Europe and Asia, was by Sophie Ellis-Bextor, an amazing young British lady with a very sexy accent.

She released her first album soon after, Read My Lips, which had a few more Top 5 singles. Her album hit #2 and went triple-platinum later, after it was re-released. Everything was just great, nothing could go wrong. Overall, Read My Lips had three Top 3 singles. They are the #2 single Take Me Home, #2 single Murder On The Dancefloor and the #3 double-A single Get Over You/Move This Mountain. One more single was released, but it became her lowest charting single to date. Music Gets The Best Of Me only reached #14.

Then she recorded her sophomore album. Preceding the album was another hit single, Mixed Up World. It charted at #7 in the UK charts, which was great, but not as high as her previous singles. Her album, Shoot From The Hip, was released a few weeks later, but it only reached #19 in the UK. Even the next single in January, I Won't Change You, failed to revive sales despite the single also charting in the Top 10 at #9. It became a commercial flop eventhough reviews were a lot better than her debut.

And now she's BACK! It's been a very long wait for fans. Her new single will be the stunning Catch You that was written by Cathy Dennis. A rock/dance track, it's completely different from the music she used to make. No less catchy, be amazed once again. After Catch You is released in February 5 next year, the next single Me And My Imagination will be released, followed by the album Trip The Light Fantastic.

If you managed to read all that, you deserve this.
