the first time i was exposed to jolin was when my friend made me watch one of her concerts...
it was nice, not too bad...but it was annoying how everytime she would be like 'the next song is....*song song sing sing over* yay, did everyone like it? here's the next song...' etc. etc.


she needs to be a bit more like ayu and put in more visuals other than fireworks, dancing, and shiny stuff

^well, jolin not a good speaker and she do not have controls over the flow of her concerts, or she don't know how. she only have says over her outfits

plus, the concert that i watched had some weird (UGLY) guy singing, too...
why not get some ayu screenovers while she changes her costume instead of some guy 'singing' (i have a major grudge against rappers)??!

to be honest with u guys , I never said jolin is really a copycat (in terms of similarities compared to ayu..) , it's just I can't her looks & everything about her! I don't feel that comfortable listening to her music even though I'm used to it listening to chinese radio stations at work inside my workplace which is a factory with all of those aunties in their 40s to 60s (yes! I'm not lying!)...

and u know what, jolin still remains no.1 most disliked and hated mandopop singer on my list! *two thumbs down*

I agree that Jolin is like various female artists in this world, but she have a magic in her songs. I think this one. But I know that opinions can be different than our things.

I feel bad that I hate her even if I've never really listened to her. But I just dislike her. I'm not a big fan of Chinese music at all, the language gives me a headache. Plus I'm lean more towards Japanese because that's my background, my mother was Japanese and I'm trying to discover that part about myself. Jolin just seems bland to me, I've heard a song of hers a while ago, can't remember the name and I hated it. I remember the PV had fireworks and such in it...hmm..

She's pretty and all, but her voice isn't that captivating. But then again, I do like that one song by her, 'Sexy Lips'... i think? other than that, can't stand her

I think she has a great voice, but her image is something else. She tries WAY too hard most of the time. She's really pretty and I'm sure she's quite unique on her own, but lately very few costumes/covers/image-related stuff in general is "Jolin". It's like she takes ideas from here and there and puts them together and frankly it's really noticeable that she's trying to be someone else....but other than that I think she has an enormous amount of talent.

I agree that her image had been a bit unoriginal in the past but lately she seems to develop her own style herself. I love her image right now because it's quite stylish and mature.

i like her, but she's not the best in cpop, i love her songs, but i would choose others over hers, she's very talented, but not enough for me to fall in love with her music, she's sells a lot of albums, but she's becoming a product...
