I hate Ninki! It's the most stupid-est thing ever! They said both my precious melody. and Sowelu were going to be top 3 and got my hopes up. Today Sowelu is at #16 and melody. is at number flippin' 24! Big 'effing difference!

And ugh. Why couldn't Ayu's streak end after Mirrorcle World? :<

NINKI isn't a ranking-predictor nor is it a sales predictor.

Yes, I know. But it's supposed to give a vague idea of what people are interested in that week, and well if they're are interested in it they're obviously going to buy unless they're poor. And I'm sorry, but #3 to #24, how stupid. Maybe people were lying to try and look cool?

^You can't forget about releases the week before. Ninki is basically about people's interest of releases that initial week. Just because people have a certain interest in that week doesn't mean that aren't interested in the previous week(s). I bet if Oricon was to ask the same question last week with this week, people would've still been interest in the previous week while the new releases would've been high in the top or lower bottom. I would've loved for Sowelu and melody to debut in the top ten but there are and were too many interesting releases before their albums for people to forget about.

Shuchishin will have to sell close to 20K to surpass Ayumi's last day of the week sales, which I don't find likely. Their sales may have gone up today, but it's unlikely to keep shooting up. Still, the race is too close to comfort - I don't even want to think about them having the bragging rights of "ending Ayumi's #1 weekly streak." That honor should be given to someone like Utada or some other very established and popular artist. Not a boyband.

I know, I expected melody. to do way better, and this is the 2nd time they got my hopes up, the first was with Shima, they said Nakitai nara would be in top 3 XD

Shuchishin's sales also jumped, so Ayumi's sales don't seem that surprising. I can imagine her concert pushing consumers to buy more.
