Oh, it's in the NTV interview documentary. They take her back to Fukuoka and she shows them places where she grew up. One of them is a port in the city and it goes:

Ayu: Yea, I often came here. The old boats are still here. I can't remember which one I went fishing with. These things happened in my childhood. It is so obscure, but I think he should be my father.

Interviewer: Is he really your father?

Ayu: I think so, there were many fishing tools in my home, they were kept all along.

This is slightly off-topic, but does anyone have a picture of Ayumi's mother? I'm curious which parent she inherited her looks from. If she doesn't look like her mother, she should look like her father (most likely), so she might have been able to determine who the fisherman was based on his looks too.

I've only seen a picture of Ayu's mother once on a talk show, and Ayu definitely looks like her, from what I could tell. It was a picture of her mother giving a peace sign in front of her face, so all you could really see was her eyes. She definitely got her big eyes from her.

That's how I heard it, anyway. And I was sure she said, along the words of that it didn't matter to her where he was, that she really wasn't entirely sure if he's even alive or not. So it's possible that he is alive.

As for the 0630 thing, I've heard rumors that this was when he left her or because that was the date before July 1st. I don't think anyone (outside of Ayu's life) really knows.

Though the "XX" isn't pronounced, I heard someone say on this forum that each woman has two X chromosons (XX) and that men have XY. I dunno if he/she is right though... I only heard it.

That person is right. Women have 2 X Chromosomes, and men have XY.

A Song for XX, you don't pronounce the "XX" because it is a variable. I heard the song was written for her mother, but if it wasn't it's probably for someone she never met. Like, "I'm waiting for someone to come I can confess these things and ask these questions to", hence the variable.

I always heard Memorial Address and teddy bear were for her father. But is he dead? I believe Ayu said in an interview "I don't even know if he's alive or dead".

And I can't believe you people are saying those things about "Who..." o___0 that's one of the most obvious songs-for-the-fans she ever wrote. When singing it in concert, she even changes the lyrics - everytime the world "you" appears in the lyrics, she sings it as "you people", "all of you".

And that fishing story is REALLY interesting... and REALLY sad.

He left her at young age, for reasons we don't know. Maybe he still wanted to see her, so he came back later in her childhood and went fishing with her, without telling her he was her dad. She wouldn't be able to recognize him because he left when she was very young. But she still suspected it because of the fishing tools in her home.

It could also be that she wanted him to be her dad, if she liked him. Like she imagined that's what he'd be like.
