Comparing new alternate covers from A COMPLETE photo book

Oh, just to make sure there's no misunderstanding, I didn't scan the alternate covers photo book, I just cropped them to fit this.

The Dearest was previewed on Music Station prior to the A COMPLETE release. Also, it's VERY similar to the photo used when she had her site lay out featuring Dearest.

I know Dearest was previewed then, I wasn't talking about then >.<

M pic was released in a magazine with a whole photoshot with that dress. it was quite lame to see that alternate cover...

I think that the Talkin 2 Myself one is something she should have gone with. It's not her standard and it would have been nice to see something like that from her. The shot almost looks as if she's being shot candid. Alas, she went with a posey picture lol.

I think you were expecting a bit much if you thought the alternative covers would be alternative photoshoots. Most of the time shots are not done until a certain setting is decided, so there is only one photoshoot. Choosing the decided photo is just comparing between a bunch of pictures from that one shoot and picking which had the best angle/face/lighting. I worked at a fashion mag publishing company so I'm just basing off my experience there.

As far as the alternative covers go, I really liked the &, Mirrorcle World, and glitter/fated alternative covers. I thought they would have been nicer covers but I can see why they rejected them, except for glitter/fated, I think the alternative beats the original easy, but I'm thinking they just wanted to show more cleavage

I didn't mean a whole new photoshoot, but just .. well, pictures we didn't see before. Taking a picture from the booklet is a bit cheap imo. I mean, they gotta take more than 5 pictures in a photoshoot.

I think the it stems from that fact that some photos were just cropped differently or zoomed in.

I'm more than sure that with photoshoots there is a general objective but there are variations throughout the poses. That said, I'm betting most people were expecting something similar but with a different angle or pose rather than different edit to the same picture.

I would have been more impressed with a photobook that has her re-doing all of her famous shots (even if not as high quality as the original...)

mmmh, this photobook was really "cheaply" done. most covers i have seen in mags or websites. so this isn't special to me at all... they could have done better, so much better. maybe a making of pic? i dunno, but i could deliver better, anytime

I have to agree you're not alone with the dissappointment. I mean I love all the unreleased pics. But the ones' that are just cropped, or of different colors like forgiveness. Utter dissappoint I was really looking forward to Daybreak and forgiveness too ; ; Other than that I was quite happy with booklet.
