Surgery?

I don't think she had....
because her eyes look quite natural on stadium tour and she already had big eyes when she was much younger.
It always depends on the way and angle of view - how much make-up she used, etc.

But I don't really care if she has done or not. ^^
To me she is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen -
if she had any surgery done - (who knows) than only on her eyes (and not much).
So even if she had - she is still a natural beauty.
(not like other stars and models who made surgery on nose, lips, breasts, cheek and so on)

It depends...
If you first only would have listened to her music - without knowing her,
and you love her music and the lyrics - than it won't matter that much, if she is a beauty or an ugly (even after you have seen her). ^^

But if you haven't heard anything from her before, but seen an ugly picture - you sure won't to know more about her.
(until you hear a song from her in the radio without knowing that's her).

In the sixties, seventies, eighties, it didn't matter that much.
If you look at some of the earlier videoclips - most of the girls and boys really weren't "sex-symbols". ^^
But if you want to make it big nowadays - it's sure a very big advantage, if you're good-looking.

Because you wouldn't want to hang up posters from an ugly girl, you wouldn't want to see videoclips with an ugly girl and she will not be your idol, if she would be ugly. You may love her songs, you may love her lyrics, but you wouldn't want to marry her.

And I think Mazuura (can't remember the right spelling), wouldn't even had asked Ayu to start a singing career, if she wasn't a natural beauty.

I would even say, that beauty seems to count sometimes more than the voice - Ayu luckily has both; Talent and beauty. (and much more, that makes her special).


But that's my opinion. ^^

Hm... lot's of jpop fans non Ayumi fans told me she never really had a singing voice. That they just shipped her to NYC for voice training then back to Japan to start making her songs.

She may had the talent before but... not nearly what she has now, but then again, I don't think she has quite the grasp on pitch control yet. Such as the major American female singers. ie; Mariah Crazy, Celine Dion, Christina Aguelera(even tho she only sings pop and had more potential) and you get the point.

If she could master her notes, then consider Ayumi #1 in the world... not like she isn't already.

What?!......I always thought that Ayu had gotten multiple rounds of plastic surgery to transform herself into the person she really is. There was even this "Before & After" picture album of J-Pop and K-Pop stars somewhere here that showed stars before plastic sugery and after plastic surgery. Ayu was like the first one on there.

I mean....look....in the pictures of her younger days (not childhood), but days before she was a star, she looked almost entirely different than what she looks like now. I doubt that she grew naturally like the hottie she is today.

I even remember reading from an article that it said that Ayu got multiple rounds of plastic surgery....I think it was 1 surgery before "Duty", and then more surgery after. I've heard that she had gotten more surgery around her eyes to make them more noticable during spring '03.


All in all.....I believe that Ayu did get plastic surgery , and actually multiple rounds of it.


Believe me.....it's by far obvious, judging from pictures and articles.

Ever heard of gaining weight?

Sorry but her face was kinda chunky back then. She could have lost the weight. Maybe it was baby fat or something.

Look at Brian from Fly to the Sky. He was chunky and then lost it. I doubt he had surgery.

i think its more simple to ask japanese fans to know if ayu had surgery

i had a japanese friend who told me that it was normal in japan to have surgery, and many idol had practise this. I am sure for one singer : Ami Suzuki, but her carreer is finished now. For her last single, she had surgery for her nose and her eyes.

Baby fat doesn't last when you are 16+ years old...
