Only a few days until Progress is released, I cannot wait!

Because I'm crazy'n'obsessed I got tickets for Progress Live for all German Tour dates.

I'm going to
Hamburg on the 22nd of July 2011
Düsseldorf on the 25th of July 2011 (the only one where I don't have to stay overnight, because it's nearest to where I live)
and München on the 29th of July 2011

I'm sooo happy that I got tickets, I tried for UK - I wanted to see at least one concert in Wembley, but it was madness that day and nearly impossible. This was ticket horror at it's best. But I'm so in love with them, once again and I cannot wait and I really hope it'll be as good as the Circus, although that seems like a very hard task. I just cannot imagine how they'll ever top that. And that Robbie is having his solo part in the concert is also something I'm not overly looking forward to. Anyway, my seats are really good seats - I didn't want any standing tickets in a Stadium. I was nearly trampled over and squashed around at a Mark Owen Concert in a really small venue before - I'm too old for that kind of thing now.

Hello Koumori, welcome to the TT Thread. Maybe XFER1 doesn't like Marks Voice? I don't really think his personality is the reason. I mean, whenever Mark is/was out in public or did interviews, signed autographs, one can't help but like him. He's ever smiling. Out of TT he definitely cares most about the fans, even all the other members say that. He is probably one of the nicer celebrities out there, no matter what he did in his private life, which really is nobodys business anyway.

^ hihi! I've been stalking for a while, but I never knew what to say. Sorry for making you talk to yourself for a while But I was inspired to speak out when I saw their live performance of The Flood recently~

And if it's just because of his voice, then I understand It's just because so many of my friends don't like him anymore because he cheated on his wife so many times. I find it disrespectful of him but I won't let it affect my love for their music. ^^

Welcome cyyong. Where have you guys hidden yourself, ha? I thought nobody was interested and on the verge of giving up. Where are you from? Going to the tour next year? I kind of even feel that I like Progress more than the Circus. And I really like the Circus. Just every time I listen to Progress it get's better and I hear things I didn't hear before.

It might be disrespectful, but it's his business. I don't care, I'm not listening to TT because I think they are saints or some kind of moral institution who don't do any wrong. Back in the 90s image was much more important than it is today, and I'm happy that it's not anymore. I even thought back then that they probably had girlfriends and sex and whatever. I was 12, but not stupid, I was kind of angry that they never admitted they had girlfriends even, because it made them look stupid. Kind of like idols in Japan these days.

Haha, well I'm from Malaysia, but now in Perth Australia studying in uni (I'm a Film & TV student).

Nope, I don't think I'm going to their tour... unless they are coming to Perth.

How I wish I could attend to The Circus live back then..

P/S: I am still desparately looking for the scans of The Circus deluxe book edition.. any chance to get the scans online? :0

* my first ever post about Take That (in forum).. haha~

Well I started to pay brief attention to them since The Circus era (first watched their music videos, and then few more song/singles), not until I watched The Circus live on DVD, they AMAZED me! That's the best tour I've ever watched so far. And then I watched their For The Record that made me understand more about the band.

I love Up All Night, Hold Up A Light, Said It All, The Garden (both album and single ver), Patience, Shine (album ver), Rule The World and Greatest Day.

When I first listened to Progress I don't really like it, as I think The Circus (probably influenced by the tour) is much more better, but it grew me more after listened few times. Like The Flood, Eight Letters, Pretty Things (can't figure it out who's the second vocal besides Robbie), and Kidz.

That's sad, maybe they will come to Australia again one day? I love Australia and I love Perth so even if you don't have the opportunity to go to a TT concert you can enjoy living in such a beautiful place.

I have the regular edition of The Circus, so I have no idea where you might find that booklet. ;_;

Anyway, Progress arrives at Number 1 this week in the UK Charts (surprise, surprise) Sales are 520.000. I hope they'll get to a million eventually. The Flood, didn't make it to Number 1, last week, though. (still stuck at 2 this week)

'Like'

I have The Circus & Progress digital booklet (standard version), now also looking for Beautiful World digital booklet. The Circus deluxe edition should have many more beautiful photos like those awesome photos in the normal booklet. I wonder how the deluxe edition of Progress looks like, especially the additional cards.

Wow, such an amazing album sales figure. I'm kinda amazed with their selling power. Progress definately grew me after listened to it few times, much more better than when I listened it for the first time.

While TT break all kind of records with Progress and the Progress Tour, the Take That Youtube channel has some interesting videos. In these TT (minus Jason) talk about the album track by track. Very interesting and insightful.

Watch it here

I especially like the reasoning behind Happy Now as a sort of anti-party hymn.

Kidz will be the next single.

Quote:
The next single from Take That will be coming your way on 21st February and we're pleased to reveal the CD single artwork below.

Kidz is the second single to be taken from Take That's No.1 album Progress and the CD single will exclusively feature the never-before-heard track, Rocket Ship as a b-side.
official website

Curious about Rocket Ship. Kidz not so much. I'm so used to the japanese system of releasing all the singles before the album, that I don't see the sense in the western system anymore. Progress obviously sold very good so the only reason to get the single would be the B-side.

Tonight is the night of the BRIT Awards 2011! Take That opened the night with Kidz! Perfect performance! I wonder if they'll get a Brit award, too.

Wow, I didn't expect another single before the tour!

Take That Announce New Single 'Love Love'

Take That have announced the release of a brand new, previously-unheard song, 'Love Love', available to download from 11th May.

The track will feature in the highly-anticipated new blockbuster in the X-Men series, X-Men First Class, which charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga before mutants had revealed themselves to the world.

The film's director, Matthew Vaughn, was also behind the 2007 movie Stardust which featured Take That's massive hit 'Rule The World', one of the biggest-selling singles of the year.

Stay tuned to find out when you'll be able to hear the incredible new track for the first time.
from the official website

Love Love? Haha...sounds weird. Since X-Men is no Love Movie..... By the way, it's only a few weeks before the tour starts. I will see them in 2 1/2 months. So excited. I should start counting the days.

Love Love is a great song! There will be more new songs as TT rerelease their album Progress with another CD added and now the cover is red. There will be eight new songs including Love Love and it'll be called Progressed. I'm probably not going to buy it because I already have Progress and just download the new songs if that's possible. OMG the tour is starting soon, I'm so nervous and curious. I don't know if I want to know anything about it or if I just avoid all Spoilers and let it all be a surprise for when I'll see it live. That is really hard. Anyway, I'm sad that nobody on AHS is going or at least interested....

Tracklist for Disc 2 of Progressed

Quote:
When We Were Young
Man
Love Love
The Day The Work Is Done
Beautiful
Don't Say Goodbye
Aliens
Wonderful World

It started! Just 2 months to go until I'll be a part of the thing. Haha...

Progress Live 2011 Begins...

Take That kicked-off their Progress Live 2011 tour last night at Sunderland's Stadium of Light in spectacular fashion. The awesome live show celebrated their biggest hits from the last two decades, saw Robbie take to the stage to perform songs from his incredible chart-topping solo career and revealed an amazing set which includes a fully operational 20 metre tall man the band have nicknamed 'OM'.

Gary, Howard, Jason and Mark Owen took to the stage at 8.30pm to start the show with their biggest hit to date 'Rule The World'. They then delivered four more of their biggest songs as a four piece including: 'Greatest Day' (including a huge yellow confetti canon blast), 'Hold Up A Light', 'Patience' and 'Shine' (which saw the band joined onstage by an Alice in Wonderland style dancing cast of dancing trees, roller-skating bees and huge caterpillar).

Next four became five, as Take That briefly united onstage 'virtually' through a huge video screen to sing their own version of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band; creating the bridge between the first two parts of the show.

Robbie then kicked off his solo set with a stadium thumping 'Let Me Entertain You' which had the crowd jumping off their feet. His set proceeded through his own classics: 'Rock DJ' (where he climbed into a glass chariot to be pulled around the stage by dancers in roller-skates), 'Come Undone', 'Feel' (which saw him winched out to the audience) and of course finishing with the amazing 'Angels'.

Before the five are reunited properly onstage a group of ominous looking Shaolin monks adorned in red cloaks swinging lanterns walk from the B-stage to the main stage to introduce their arrival. Take That then sing the song that marked their historic return; 'The Flood'. For this the dancers performed an amazing routine taking place on a wall of water while the band sang from the highest part of the stage.

Robbie threw himself off the top for the finale of 'The Flood' to the floor via suspension cables before the band break into an explosive version of 'SOS' from their record breaking album 'Progress'. This is the point where the audience are first introduced to a huge mechanical man who is revealed from behind the stage and slides out in a sitting position for the guys to sing 'Underground Machine' (again from 'Progress') to rapturous cheers from the audience.

The band then move to the B stage to perform 'Kidz' where they start an old skool dance-off involving Jason and Howard, flanked by human chess pieces dressed in black and white. 'Pretty Things' is performed back on the main stage with Gary and Robbie being lifted up by OM's hands as a beautiful ballet dancer flits between the two stages.

Next the band share a few laughs with each other and the audience about old times before gathering around a piano for a medley of 'Million Love Songs', 'Babe', 'Everything Changes', 'Back For Good' and 'Pray' the final song for which they get up and do the original dance routine while the crowd go crazy.

Gary, Howard, Jason, Mark and Robbie then begin what has to be one of the high points of the show: new XMen single 'Love, Love' featuring twenty dancers in gas masks flanking the band on either side of the main stage, while the mechanical man moves out into the middle of the stadium (carrying the band), with an awesome futuristic landscape on the VT behind which takes up the entire back wall.

As the show draws near to its finale the band break into 'Never Forget' as OM reveals his full height (20 metres) and the band then finish with 'No Regrets', a fiery performance of 'Relight My Fire' (with Robbie singing Lulu's part) closing the show with Gary leading on the beautiful 'Eight Letters' (also the final track on 'Progress').

1 month to go for me....have I mentioned how excited I am and that I can't wait?

By the way, if you liked Progress you might think about buying Progressed or at least the 8 (well 7, if you don't count Love Love) new songs. The songs are great. My favourites are The Day the work is done, Aliens, Man and When we were young.

I'm so excited, yeah, yeah!

TT will release another single "When we were young" from Progressed in August.

Quote:
Filmed across two nights in an empty Wembley Stadium after two of the band's shows, this stunning video is not to be missed.

'When We Were Young' will be released on 22 August - the final single to be released from their No.1 album, 'Progressed'. The track will be the theme song in the upcoming feature film adaptation, The Three Musketeers, coming to cinema's on 14 October.
Like always - from the official website

Tour moved to mainland Europe by now. I'm going to see them in less than a week. I hope I can take some pictures and write a review, but I probably won't post it here, since nobody is interested anyway. *sniff* The Production seems amazing and I have very high expectations. I think it will be the best concert by any artist, ever. Ha. Let's see.

I much more prefer "When We Were Young" music video than "Love Love"!

It's kinda sad that it'll be their final single from the album.
I really hope they will release Pretty Things as a single, or a beautiful music video!

There are no music news sadly - but I still hope that TT might be involved in the Olympic Opening Ceremony in London this year.

Celebrity-wise: Gary and his wife will have another baby (Number 4) this year and Robbie just announced that he will also become a dad. Awww.

Edit: A third TT baby in 2012: Mark will have another (Number 3) baby as well.
