How strict of a tagger are you?

I'd have a mental brakdown if songs aren't tagged correctly. D:

Everything is capitalized and lowercase when need be, there's symbols like stars and hearts, kanji, Engrish, English as normal, and I use romaji only for alphabetatizing the filenames.

I'm an OCD to about it. I've happened to edit some tags in my iPods and turned off the computer afterwards, but to find that I still had some wrong tags so then I turned on the computer again to correct it. If the same problem still there I would repeat the cycle, causing a huge amount of electricity bills one day

I had my ways though, I use the exactly correct song titles for Jpop songs mainly because I could read Japanese (and put the romaji titles on thier title sorting). For KPop things I used to look for their English translation to replace the hangul titles. I still used romaji for artists and albums tho

Yes! I feel the same way too. I even went until so far that I hardly sleep at night thinking about correcting it tomorrow morning.

I'm pretty anal. I deleted all of my plays on last.fm once because of an incorrectly tagged song.

I'm so anal about it.

Like jiarong, I try to get all my covers to be 600x600, so now most of them are. All song titles in Japanese kanji will be in kanji lol. And for Korean songs, I just copy the tittles from wikipedia or something, with the hangul, and then a short English word/phrase in parenthesis.

I'm pretty strict. I like everything to have an album and artist if applicable, and for Asian music I like it to be in its original form, whether in kanji, roman letters, or whatever.

The only exception would be that I tend to avoid unicode.

Lol same here XD but you deleted all of your plays? you didn't just delete that one song?

Everything has to be right for me. Artist names, song titles etc.
If I download something, I check the tags etc so absolutely all my music is in my itunes folder, in the correct folder and at the same bit rate.

The only one that's bugged me so far is Utada. Got both English albums and her Cubic U one tagged as 宇多田ヒカル, but they do (Especially Precious) make me itch cuz I'm uncertain LOL.

I don't care much about tagging. I don't re-tag or anything, I just leave it as is from what it was when I downloaded.

I used to be super anal about it. All the artwork had to be HQ and I would spend days searching for HQ of rare single covers.

I've lightened up a bit. But when it comes to correct spelling of the song names I'm very strict. If something is written in kanji on the offical artwork then it will be written in kanji in my library.

It's because in a random bout of paranoia I thought: "Oh God, what if all of my songs are tagged wrong?!?!!"

I had over 30,000 plays, now I'm just over 10,000. :\

Precious should be Cubic U
Exodus and This Is the One should be Utada
All her Japanese material is tagged 宇多田ヒカル

I'm only strict when it comes to the title. Like I use romaji but if it is in caps then I leave it in caps. I think I might start using the original text (kanji/kana).

I like everything to be correct too. I'm kinda lazy on the album covers but normally I prefer those as well.

I am VERY strict as how I organize my singles vs. albums.

Singles all start like [AA.] Single > Moments
Where as albums are just the album titles, MY STORY

I have to put the [AA.] Single > in the album title if it is a single because when I view by artist, I like the singles to all be at the top and separate from albums.

I must have the exact title for the song and albums. Even if one letter is not capitalized or something I feel the need to edit it. I'm the same with artists. If I see a space when there isn't supposed to be one I edit it. I'm ok with the covers.

I only do non-spaces if their official website has it like that. I HATE the feat. tag though. It's so hard to get that right because some artists are clumped up "feat.VERBAL(m-flo), feat.BoA" and others have a ton of artists "AT THE FEVER feat. TWIGY,NIPPS,DEV LARGE,SHINNOSK8" "FUTURECHECKA feat. SIMON, COMA-CHI & TARO SOUL"

I think the hardest thing to tag was LALALA feat. 若旦那 (湘南乃風) / FUTURECHECKA feat. SIMON, COMA-CHI & TARO SOUL by Miliyah x.x
