He took a 10 year break, actually.

Max mentioned it saying that Yasuhiko felt he wasn't making songs of a high quality, so he went on a hiatus. He only recently came back this year.

Besides the songs on A song for xx and the three from Duty, he composed the following for V6 and their different groups:

LOOKIN'FOR MY DREAM

He also composed Kahara Tomomi's True Mind and of course, Kitano's Sakura saku.

I guess Sakura saku and this new Ayu release are to be his comeback.

He also worked on two Namie songs.

I think he was arranger though.

I think Namie would sell the most, but ayu's single would be the highest quality of all 3, so she'd win in the way that matters the most.

Don't forget that Rule/Sparkle outsold WILD/Dr. and that every song Ayu has released last year did better digitally~ But AVEX would never release all 3 in the same week.

Rule/Sparkle's 1st week sales were 95,309 and it was released before WILD/Dr. but closer to it's release date than Sunrise/Sunset. Kumi doesn't stand a chance as she currently can't even outsell AAA when it comes to singles.

being beaten up by the other two in first week sales xD


I think AVEX prefers their artists to get 1st against other companies and stuff... not agaisnt each other. Maybe, at some point they will... but not now
