I finally went to the Past Future tour tonight. I have to say, of the three times I've seen Namie (Best Fiction and Play tour), this one was my favorite! Her voice tonight was excellent, she was rarely out of breath, the ballads were perfect and she only had one instance where she pulled the mic so far away that you couldn't hear her.

I also thought that the choreography was a step up from her last couple of tours. Ever since 2006 I've felt that her choreography hasn't been as good as it once was; it still wasn't as good as pre-2006 level, but it was an improvement.

Also, she seems to really prefer performing in halls to big arenas. I've always noticed this on her tour dvds that she seems more comfortable with smaller audiences; maybe she likes the closeness of the halls because her energy shined through much more than it did when I saw her on the Best Fiction tour.

Now for those who liked the Best Fiction tour because of its grandeur, stage, props, etc, this tour might be a disappointment. It is a much smaller scale and I would say even smaller scale than the Play stage. More along the lines of Space of Hip Pop overall in terms of the scale. BUT, for me, that just meant less distraction from what Namie does best - non-stop singing and dancing.

Namie Amuro falls ill & postpones concert
On October 14, R&B artist Namie Amuro postponed her “namie amuro PAST < FUTURE tour 2010” held at Tokyo International Hall A.

Amuro contracted chorditis vocalis, an “inflammation of vocal cords usually as a result of voice abuse (or because of cancer).” She wanted to finish the concert but her doctor advised her not to, leading to the postponement of the concert.

Fans that purchased tickets for yesterday’s concert will be able to transfer their tickets to her December 1st concert. If they want a refund, they will be able to do so today through her official website. Hopefully she gets better soon.

^ the word was mentioned, but she couldn't have cancer without the public knowing. plus, this has been her longest tour, her voice must be really "abused" because she's been singing so much, seeing as it's like 10 months or whatever that she's been doing this tour.

Is it surprising.....Avex has been overworking her lately. They need to step back a bit. As a non-Namie fanatic, I can say the Best Fiction Tour is one of the best tours I've ever seen....although its easy to see why she would be exhausted after so many dates performing like THAT.

It depends when they filmed the concert day. In the second half of the tour she didn't do think of me. It wasn't at my concert.

I don't think Avex can be blamed here though cuz her managing company is Vision Factory not Avex I think it's more of Namie's decision to tour a lot because she said that she enjoys touring or something like that.

Although sometimes management companies can be blamed, it's not like EVERY company out there is pure evil that doesn't care for the artist's own health. There are plenty of people, musician or not, that overwork herself. It might as well have been her own "fault".
