I was listening to Aishite Muscat today and remembered how obsessed I used to be with Namie's music in 2008. It annoys me that the madness died so suddenly. It should have lasted for the whole 2009 too but it didn't. Damn. Luckily I've been really obsessed with her lately. Maybe I should have a concert marathon too after I finish with one of my incomplete stories... Yep, that would be nice♥

Also, Contrail's pretty good, but I just can't go nuts on it. BBC has grown on me I do admit. However I still do skip it sometimes. And as for Alive, I the preview, but I cant ever give my full opinion til I hear the full thing.

it's a fashion magazine*surprise surprise lol* but it's original version is western, it had featured Ayu this year, with like 16 pages spread and gazzilion of gorgeous pics. if they managed to get Ayu this beautiful, Namie will look stunning.

As far as ZEDD goes, he only produced one track on the album, not most of it. I believe he or someone who knows him tweeted that recently. Then again, things could change.

Anyway, I'm a HUGE fan of his song "Spectrum" (both the original version and the "S.M. The Performance" version). Clarity is good too.

I probably wait for the HK version tho since I'm kinda broke nevertheless this album is a must get. I wonder what the TBA tracks will be

I'm just so proud of Namie. I became her fan during her "comeback" (BEST FICTION era). So even though I didn't see her transition to the hip-hop scene and her slight struggles I still feel proud of her. Like I know PAST < FUTURE was successful but I honestly thought her hype would die down and she'd going back to selling mediocre or average. But them BOOM! Uncontrolled is still on the charts. Man, she's great.

We're similar. I also became her fan during that era. I had listened to PLAY and Queen of Hip-Pop in 2007 though but I needed WHAT A FEELING to make me a fan that I am today. I'm so happy that I became a fan of her music because she is one of those rare artists that never fail to impress me! 8D I wonder how long this boom continues too. It's been going on like... 5 or 6 years now? ♥

I can't believe July is still so far away! I wish FEEL came earlier! ;_;

I started to listen to Namie around the time when PLAY was out. I only liked a few random songs by her, but then I totally got into the whole PLAY album, so I decided I'd listen to everything she's released up until that point, and since then I was a fan.

Today, I love every single song she's released (yes, that's possible with anything), and it's just matters of what songs I actually love more than others. I don't think there is a bad song in her entire discography. I did mention I didn't like Uncontrolled, which is true, but that's just because I think that it's an album that lacks something by her standards. It feels so different than P<F or PLAY, like a completely watered down and popularized version of those albums that I felt were so damn sexy and amazing. In any other case, Uncontrolled is a great album, and I enjoy every song on it. It's just the comparison that makes me like it less.

Btw. What I also disliked about Uncontrolled was this:

In The Spotlight (TOKYO) - people report it sounding like one of popular American songs.
YEAH-OH - look above
ONLY YOU - look above
Hot Girls - Don't get me wrong, I like the beat and to groove to this (even if it did sound like a mess at first), but IDK what to make out of the lyrics and I don't want anyone see me listen to this for some reason.
Break It (AL ver) - Great song ruined

And the English versions of Go Round and YEAH-OH also ruin it a bit. Yet still, all of the songs on Uncontrolled are very enjoyable.

Also, about Uncontrolled - I don't feel the album is mastered properly. I have only one example to claim this, which is the sudden drop of volume when NAKED starts after the first track. And it's significally lower in volume on the album than on the single for some reason. I'd like this explained. xD

^Feel the same way about Uncontrolled too, I love the tracks but something puts me off, making me cannot love the album wholly. And I was upset that Go Round and YEAH-OH become English versions, I just don't really like it plus Hot Girls' lyric lol Maybe my only concern is Namie singing in English.

My history with Namie started by coincidence actually. At first I only know her as "Ah, that Japanese Janet Jackson," and that's it until I watched MSta and CAN'T SLEEP, CAN'T EAT, I'M SICK was featured. I was hooked, and then came Baby Don't Cry...Now that's what I want to listen! I immediately look up her discography until her LOVE ENHANCED. Honestly I wasn't a big RnB/Hip Hop fan so I was having a hard time to listen to her RnB/Hip Hop materials but in the end it doesn't matter anymore. I fall in love with her music and was waiting for PLAY to be released. The next thing I do is grabbed the album and enjoy myself
