I only listen to J-pop or K-pop when I'm alone because I'm tired of the people asking me the same questions about my music, so I don't have a problem with the English verses.

Namie and Kumi are extremely day and night. I really don't get it. They release their flawless almost fluent English sounding songs like Stardust in my eyes, Alive, Taboo, and that ain't cool (granted it was mostly a fergie song). Which make me believe they're really trying. Then they give us train-wrecks like Let me let you go, Beautiful, Lay Down, and feel. Ayu is at least consistent throughout her music. Extremely accented and slightly understandable all the time.

Anyway, i really think namie's english has improved over the years in songs. Likewise, i hVe a feeling ayu's been practicing a lot too since 2007 after her first asia tour. i just wan't to hear her again speak more.

Well, English or Japanese, don't matter - Namie's music is always shit.

I've finally decided to stop being less of a file hoarder and an obsessive "completionist" and went through my entire Jpop folder, previewing every song and trashing all the ones I hated. Namie's folder got a WHOLE lot smaller. Seriously don't know how she's done so well when her vocals are so removed from the tracks she sings. I can't connect with those songs. They sound washed out, boring, repetitive, drab. It's like, some monotonous clap-heavy arrangement without doing anything to enhance the melody or chord progressions of the song itself. PAST>FUTURE was a truly atrocious album and I never reallt realized that until now.

Ku and ayu know how to create lush environments with their music (or at least used to). Namies material is just noise.

I have to feel emotion from the MUSIC when I listen; excitement, passion, bliss. I have to feel inspired and Namie's stuff just doesn't resonate with me at all. Lord knows I've tried, and there are a few I like. But overall, I'm left feeling utterly confused as to how she's so successful with such flat releases.

Jesus though, I do love me some White Light, Come, No, SPEED STAR, and New Look. Hell, I'll even throw in Girl Talk. Oh, I also really like STROBE!
