the sales are great! im very happy! after a year and half of AB2 release its amazing!!! maybe sales tomorow will be even hogher but i think it wont pass 500k copies for its first week but one never knows, MW surprised, maybe AC will surprise us too ^^

Are you sure ayu doesn't get a lot of money for her sales RIAA practice is 16.7% of gross sales and then there is contractual cut of net profit and upfront payment on contract. Let's say RIAJ is 10% as a conservative estimate, if ayu sells only 500k of CD+DVD, she's gonna get 0.1 x 4571 x 500k and that's excluding CD only, net profits blah blah. Believe me, she's rich. And she doesn't have to share it like KATTUN, arashi and l'arc en ciel. Why do you think ayu and koda kumi are sort of always listed as the highest earning singers... And yeah, let's enjoy the 10th anniversary with her!

I thought I saw people explain that Avex gets most of the profits and Ayu get's a fixed sum based on a contract. Maybe I'm mistaken. But I didn't mean to say she isn't rich.

Glad to see the drop wasn't as tremendeous this time lol Although this seems to be her usual pattern so I'm not worried

I wish BEST FICTION hadn't sold loads. That album is missing some very key songs, in my opinion. What's it's appeal?

It's sad that A COMPLETE is dropping so rapidly, even if that's her sales trend.

A COMPLETE honestly doesn't deserve to sell a million copies considering the fact that she's already had multiple compilation albums, with both A BEST 2's being released far too close to this. I think these sales are pretty good.

Namie hadn't released a compilation albums for years, so BEST FICTION was particularly successful because it was a compilation of all the singles she's had since her last compilation. The inclusion of the songs from 60s 70s 80s especially must have made it a success. It's a fantastic compilation, and one that had been long-awaited. If both A BEST 2's hadn't been released, this might have been a different story, but A COMPLETE is just a lazy release. No one even bother arguing with me on this either because even the most die-hard Ayu fan should be able to see that this was just unnecessary, even if it is her 10th anniversary.

AC deserves good sales because it's a 10th anniversary album and it has all of the main a-sides from her singles (with 15 songs there were never used in any compilation) and unreleased DVD footages, with attractive price. It already selling loads and selling good, even if it won't reach a million.
I personally would like a 10th studio album instead of this one, but after seeing what this album has to offer I didn't refuse to buy it (like the 416,000 others that bought it until now).

A BEST 2 were of different concept.

Tomorrow the index should be above 25,500.
