nope DAIGO cosplayed as Watanabe , the cameraman who appeared on ARASHI ni Shiyagare

DAIGO did that most recently for the HALLOWEEN PARTY 2010 festival

if you watch ARASHI ni Shiyagare , you probably have seen Watanabe around

& haha , I wish that DAIGO cosplayed as California Rice but sadly he didn't ;p

Why would Arashi host the Kouhaku? I'm quite surprised by this...

xD sadism rocks but really is it any wonder that it's a no brainer something like that will happen to the guys ?

even someone like 1/2 a brain will know just how hot they've been getting in popularity in recent years & I'm only a fan of them for 2 years & counting

haha, so am i! you can be a fan just for one day and have much more common sense the comment sounds a bit degrading, too. it's like...arashi isn't good enough to host kouhaku. the staff want arashi to host it, and considering how successful of a year it's been for them, how surprising can it be?

i should know better than to reply to comments like that, but my buttons are being pushed just a bit lol.

Not anyone can go on Kouhaku so easily just like that , it's based on invitations & you have to meet a certain no. of criteria before getting invited on the show

I don't see any reason(s) why ARASHI shouldn't be on the show & let alone getting a hosting gig

Because Arashi sells REALLY well right now!
No matter what they do, it's fated to become a huge success (and bring high ratings!! )

But I do have a questions about last years' "Kouhaku" (it has been bothering me a while now, to say the truth!): Was Arashi's performance live?
I don't know, but it didn't sound live to me and I thought that every artists has to sing live at "Kouhaku".

sad to say this but for most 'live' performances I've seen of ARASHI , be it on variety shows or even in their concerts , they sound as if they're lip synching to me

the only thing I detect it wasn't lip synch was the Sakurap in certain songs of theirs which it's downright impossible to lip synch to a rap

but I don't know , it's hard to tell because other Johnny's that I watch their live performances of , what I hear on the CD & what I hear in their live performances are totally different

that's some food for thought for you to ponder on

THIS!

I'm glad, that I'm not the only one, who finds it hard to distinguish when Arashi are doing lip synch and when they're singing live.

What I realised is, that in their earlier days they were singing live more often than nowadays.
Well...I guess it's because in the beginning they had to show the world that they can really sing while now everybody knows it (it least that's the reason I created for myself, even when their voices back then weren't this good - not even Riida's).

It still makes me sad. They're singers and while I don't ask of them to sing live all the time (it would be nice though!), they at least could do it once in a while.
I would even understand the lip synch while doing faster songs, but lip snyching ballads?? I don't understand this...

They usually lip synch in tv performances but not so much in their concerts. They often have their voices plaied during songs chorus, especially in songs where they dance or run all around, and they can chose if sing all along with it or just lip synch XD but the most of their live concerts are REALLY live. I can say it 'cause I saw them 3 times in concert and they sounded different from the dvd version, anyway they're really good live ^^

By the way, I'd also like to see them sing live in tv performances too. ;_;
And about the Kouhaku's one it was both live and lip synched I think .__.

well guys you have to understand that they're Idols at the end of the day & as such at times , they might be hard to be taken seriously especially when comes to something like that

I can understand if they have to lip synch to songs which're fast paced & when there're somewhat complicated dance moves involved but doing that for ballads as well , it's like wth , lazy much ?

with that said , I sure hope for the upcoming FNS & Kouhaku , they will for once sing live in either 1 of the event . This's precisely the reason as to why I stopped watching live performances of them as I might as well listen to their voices on a CD rather than hearing the same thing on live performances

I perfectly understand you and respect your opinion. Anyway, I keep supporting them and watching all their performances because they're always so special to me ♥. Maybe it's also because of all the work they have.. they don't even have a lot of time to do rehearsal. But I still hope they'll start singing live again ^^;

yeah they work hard to get to where they're at now , no doubt about it but still it's no excuse to lip synch to most performances on variety shows but I can pardon them if the song in question is a fast paced no.

I don't see that happening often for their juniors/seniors's case . People who're anti ARASHI fans might wonder how come this's happening for the group so often on a pretty frequent basis :O

anyway NINKI index for Hatenai Sora should be out later today in the afternoon & that goes for early leak of their stuff as what happened previously xD

are they really hosting Kouhaku? (sorry, i'm out of the loop, lol) wow. that's pretty amazing! though it is a refresher from SMAP. but i guess that means no JE CDL for them though.

Hey, and over 500 again XD. Let's see if Hatenai Sora will sell a bit lower than Dear Snow again.

Personally, I think it might sell a bit higher because of its tie-in.

As expected... Even Kuu's there, too! (There was no Music Station this week because of figure skating, just a heads-up there...)
