[Blog] Maro & Ayu are dating according to his blog entry

Kinda late for comment.
I guess this relationship about Ayu and Maro are not quite different from Ayu and Mannie for the first time. The different just because Maro works with Ayu often and longer (since he is her dancer) than Mannie so people would think that they fall in love because they work together for a long time. Very fishy, especially after we got that You & Me PV and again cover. A business strategy, that is all I can see.

HOW is that fishy? It would be an awful business strategy.

Sometimes I think most people on this forum are either jealous of Ayumi or simply have never been euphoric about a new relationship.

You know. I have not kept silent that I think these things are awfully convenient for her as far as press goes.

And I believe EVERYONE knows that.

But just because she releases some pictures of her with Maro and says they are in a relationship...doesn't really mean that she's telling you everything about her private life and all about their relationship.

Maybe she's not psycho secret like some other celebrities, but who cares. She's not them.

Things like this don't define relationships. If saying over facebook and twitter, "oh we're together" is the most private and important part of your relationship, you have some sad issues.


I know it's a bigger deal for Ayu. But even so. She wants to share things with us. So it gives her more PR. Who cares. It's not like her sales are going to rise or fall drastically anymore.

I agree. Maybe she has decided to be more private about Maro because of the reactions of her fans with Mannie (I forgot about her Twitter posts), but I just see it as a shame that instead of getting a warm reaction from her fans from sharing some things with her partner, she gets accused that she's only doing it for publicity? I mean, I know plenty of people that talk about their partners and share the same things she did with Mannie, who doesn't know someone like that? But they don't get accused of the same thing, do they? Fans can stand there and accuse all day (don't know why you would want to) but it's just time wasted, because as Return Road says, you'll never know the full story, the deep and intricate details. And I'm not bothered by that cause it's none of my business.

Everyone it entitled to their own opinion, of course, but I never (maybe once) commented on Ayu's stance with Mannie, in fact I avoided the threads, because of this.

That is business. They will make you think that both of them are really in relationship. Or maybe they make a pre-relationship-agreement or so. If the publicity success, reflected on album selling, then Maro will get a few percent or Ayu will get a Avex share markets few percent or so. Imo

That's not practical in Japan. in the US or western countries in general it would help, but in Japan every relationship is NEGATIVE news for female singers, especially those that started as idols.

I'm really taken aback by the news (has ayu herself said anything, though?), but this -if true- will only reemphasize that love(?) is hilarious. I hope the relationship won't hurt her.

I have always felt Ayu was an honest and genuine person. I have never met her, but when I went to AT08 and she stopped in front of me on the catwalk, turned to me, and sang after I failed to catch the A Ball she tossed... it's stupid but I felt like she was so kind in that moment and truly loved her fans.

But...
haven't we all had people we knew, I mean actually KNEW in person (best friends, lovers, family) who were dis-honest to us? People we trusted, people who we never gave a second thought to about betraying us... and they did? If we as humans can be fooled by people that close to us, who's to say that Ayu wouldn't use publicity to her advantage? Just a thought.

I don't know why, I was so much more skeptical of Ayu and Mannie's marriage & divorce. With all the weird things that he and his friend posted after the whole thing, it was just odd. Ayu and Maro, I think are just being attention *****s.

I still think the whole thing was one big scam and not so good marketing strategy and I am really hoping this isn't one too.

I don't think so either. Ayu announced to her fans when they got married, but that was all, as far as I know. If it was a scam then she wouldn't have kept it so private. And plus, it would only be logical for her to do that if it aided her career somehow, but she actually sacrificed a lot of her career(very few releases, Japanese fans displeased, not many public appearances etc) to be with him. Someone wouldn't do that unless they were committed to that person, but that's my opinion on it.
I never got the whole disapproval of Mannie, as far as I was concerned, it was none of my private business, and I have no right to judge who she dates or falls in love with. If Mannie made her happy, even though it was short, and it didn't work because they chose to live in different countries, (even though she was planning to move to LA with him before the earthquake) then, honestly, I couldn't have cared less. XD I was just glad that she had someone. But that's my two cents.

I'm very happy to know she has someone, and in a serious relationship. She's known Maro since he became her dancer in 2007, so they know each other well. I wish them the best of luck and hopefully a good life together! I really do. I don't think Ayu deserves to be alone anymore.

I really hope that Ayu and Maro are together for a really long time, have a proper wedding and have some kids. People couldn't possibly call that a publicity stunt.
