But once again I have the feeling that the choreography doesn't quite fit the song. I feel they make "badass" choreographies even for her songs that are not so sexy or "badass" style haha

I don't like the way the verse leads into the chorus, it just is like "oh I guess the chorus has begun", there is no moment of "yes" slightly before the chorus slams in. I also feel her vocals are a bit sharp and shouty in the chorus - I feel that way every time she decides to use a lot of English (although I did love GOT TO BE REAL, but she used a higher pitch there and she was basically just echoing).

I usually don't notice when she gets screechy but she went reeeeeally hard on the chorus in this one

I have to agree with you here. Also, I'd like to add that I hate the chorus, it really feels forced for me. Kumi needs to slay me again like she did with Pink Spider (forgot to add that it was the reason I ran, not walked, to get Color the Cover). That song was everything. Dance in the Rain is just disposable generic music. Not that generic music can't be good. It just has to have charm, and this song just doesn't for me. Kumi's lalalalalalalalalalaalaaa is the same old rock song but I loved it because the chorus was just so charming.
