Peter Rauhofer premiering his "4 Minutes" remixes

Peter Rauhofer has confirmed on his MySpace that he will premiere his '4 Minutes' mixes on March 28th at Work at Highline Ballroom in New York City.

Two ''4 Minutes'' remixes on the Album Special Edition



Following our exclusive reports about the International CD singles and maxis and the US Maxi CD and Vinyl releases of Madonna's "4 Minutes", MadonnaTribe is happy to report details of what's included on the Special Edition CD of "Hard Candy".

This time the Album CD Special Edition - with a code number of 0-9362-49876-8-0 - will NOT include a bonus track but will feature two edit versions of remixes of the leading single:

4 Minutes (Tracy Young House Mix Edit) 3:33
4 Minutes (Rebirth Mix Edit) 3:42

This also means that "Ring My Bell" - the 13th track of Madonna's "Hard Candy" - remains exclusive to the Japanese Edition of the album.

And speaking of promoting the new Madonna releases, here the first look at the invitation that was sent to selected guests only for the Single Launch of 4 Minutes taking place at the A!X Lounge at the Raleigh Penthouse on Friday, March 28 during the Winter Music Conference in Miami.

Superstar DJs and "4 Minutes" remixers Junkie XL, Tracy Young and Bob Sinclar will perform at the event.

Two different covers for UK Elle

Last month, on February 21st, MadonnaTribe first reported in real time Madonna was shooting a new cover for Elle magazine giving exclusive details such as the name of photographer Tom Munro.

Today we can report some more exclusive info that will make collectors very interested.

The UK edition of Elle magazine will come out with two different covers bearing two completely different images. One image will be used for the regular edition and another one will be exclusive to people who receive the subscribers edition.

Madonna sets radio record in Canada!

“4 Minutes” is the fastest single to hit #1 in Canadian radio history!

Broadcast Data Services (BDS), the company that monitors airplay in North America has confirmed that “4 Minutes,” the first single from Madonna’s forthcoming album Hard Candy, has debuted at #1 on the Canadian CHR Audience chart. This marks the first time any single has entered at the top of either CHR chart in BDS history. “4 Minutes” was co-written by Madonna, Justin Timberlake and Timbaland. Timberlake also co-produced the track with Timbaland and performs vocals with Madonna.

The song also entered the CHR spins chart at #5, only the second song ever to debut in the Top 10 on that chart. “4 Minutes” also entered the All Format Audience chart at #2, the highest debut in the chart’s history.

Hard Candy will be released in North America on Tuesday, April 29, 2008. The album features Justin Timberlake on multiple tracks and production by Pharrell Williams, Timbaland and Nate “Danja” Hills.

“4 Minutes” is currently the #1 selling single on iTunes while Hard Candy has the distinction of being the current best selling album on iTunes based strictly on pre-orders.

Madonna's interview Tomorrow on Chicago B96!

Our dear friend and community staff member DaGo heard Madonna was going to do an interview with Chicago B96 this morning at 7:30am. She was booked for a half hour and they will be asking about the tour, among other obvious things.

But, this morning they said Madonna was going to be on today and then they said that Mariah Carey wanted to be on too, so Madonna cancelled her call, and said "There is NOT enough room for 2 diva’s on our show"!

Madonna will be on TOMORROW show, March 27.

Attitude ''Hard Candy'' review excerpt.

This is an excerpt from Attitude magazine’s track by track review of "Hard Candy" which is in the April issue of Attitude out on March 31st. Thanks to our friends at Attitude magazine.

’Attitude Fashion Director Luke Day is not a drag queen but appears as Madonna in this month’s issue of Dazed & Confused. Attitude Associate Editor Matthew Todd is also not a drag queen but spent nearly two hours 1-on-1 with Madonna for our exclusive interview two years ago. Here they review the most hotly anticipated release of the year.

MILES AWAY
L: Absolutely genius. Got to be huge. It’s got the great hand-clapping bit in the middle but it’s not a stomper.
M: Sort of delicate... picks you up and wafts you away on a pillow of windswept tears. (laughter) ’We're always at our best when we’re miles away’.
L: So far away...
M: So far away...
L: Let’s cry now. You would not be able to not clap along to this in a concert. Unexpectedly warming…
M: …which is a very Madonna thing to do. It sounds resigned. It makes you want to have a boyfriend so you can reject him so you can sing this song. (Cackle).

SHE’S NOT ME
L: J’adore this! I’m better than the competition. It’s so drag.
M: Is this the campest thing she’s ever done? ’She’s started dressing like me, talking like me and freakin’ me out. She started reading my books and stealing my looks and lingerie, what’s that about?’.
L: (Laughs) I want to dance to this now.
M: It reminds me of Thief of Hearts.
L: Disco funk. And there’s football whistles.
M: And double hand claps.
L: Any song where she repeats a word three times - like ’she was stealing, stealing, stealing’ gets me.

BEAT GOES ON
L: This is unrecognizable from the leak! It’s one of the highlights. Total 80s disco. Xylophones, full on synths. Sort of thing you’d hear at Horse Meat Disco, an ’everybody get up and dance’ record.
M: Very 80s but not in a modern electro pop way. You think you’re listening to a Shalamar record and then Kanye West comes in.
L: It’s got a Taana Gardner feel to it.
M: It’s the point where she turns on the fun turbo boosters. This is the Candy. It’s too too good...
L: LOVE. IT. Especially Pharrell’s Beep, beeps.
M: It’s gonna be played in every disco in the world for 12 - 200 year olds. Could be an instant classic.

Still conquering her ego

The online website of The Mirror features a short story today with an excerpt from the Q magazine interview with the Queen of Pop.

"It must be hard when you're the reigning queen of pop like Madonna. Madge, 49, is the biggest selling female recording artist in the world.

But she's still striving for more. She told Q Magazine: "What else is there for me to conquer? Hopefully my ego."
"How will I know when I've succeeded? When I stop caring what anyone thinks."

We think she's joking, but supermum Madge also admtted that she organises her family like one of her well-choreographed dance routines.

She said:
"I have to eke out the time. One day I don't see my kids much and the next day I make sure I do. You look at your calendar and you go, 'OK, this day's crazy. But OK, this day I'm going to take my daughter to ballet. The next day I'm going to be gone all day. So the day after I'm going to make sure I'm around for dinner and bathtime'."

And the woman who once posed naked for her Sex book also says: "I can be shy. And nervous. About things. People will never think that of me."

Now we know she's joking.

4 Minutes debuts in the Billboard Hot 100

What a great start for Madonna after only one week of airplay:
"4 Minutes" enters the Billboard Hot 100 at #68 (only airplay, no digital sales included).
The new single should shoot up next week with the increased airplay and with downloads.
