I wonder if Namie's sales will actually be higher than the estimate with the index multiplier. For some reason I think she'll have one more like 1.77.

EXILE - they got 1 more best album coming up later on in the year that's titled EXILE BALLAD BEST . No brainer what's their 3rd best will consist of what type of songs .

I have a feeling it will sell even worst than the 1st 2 since there's a tendency for ballad best compliations not to sell as well as 'real' best albums

dunno why Japan doesn't like ballad best compliations though

I think it really depends on what you put on the ballads best album.
If the ballad compilation is full of very popular ballads (which song is popular) so the album might do very well.
But if the album is mixed or have some new ballads or not popular ballads the album might do less well.

Not really. Look at R35 Sweet J-Ballads, that's sold over 900k. EXILE is going to have 2 of their biggest ballads on that CD, I think it will do their 3rd best will sell the most among the 3.

I'm going to predict right now she'll be the best seller of the year. She's had steady sales mostly this era and she keeps proving so.

^I don't think she'll have the highest sales of the year, but I think she'll be top 3 for sure. Right now I'm not really convinced that anyone can surpass EXILE, and they're definitely gonna be the top selling artists of 2008.

For clarification, I was speaking strictly best selling album of the year, not artist of the year. Obviously EXILE is the best selling artist of the year, they've had like a hundred albums released with huge debuts on the charts lol.

^Yeah, I got you. I guess Namie's comeback proves that comebacks are a real possibility in Japan! It reminds me of Mariah's sort of. I guess there's hope for Ayu, Koda, Ai Otsuka and BoA to bounce back now!
