I do not have the full chart yet but here's the number for someone a couple a spots above her.

I thought for sure Utada would sell more than BoA. She was charting better than BoA did.

Actually, for only being released on those outlets, it's doing quite well.

can I ask how the Billboard charts are made?
I don't know a lot about the Western music industry, sorry.

It thought it worked like Oricon, but how does This Is The One chart if it's not physically available?

Are you guys expecting a higher ranking when the physical release is complete?

It works like the Oricon charts expect they include downloads in the sales. That's how TITO was able to chart.

Billboard does include digital purchases, but the vast majority of albums are still bought the traditional way, in stores. That's why I'm not too upset over this. If it would've been both a physical/digital release, I think she probably would've at least tripled that number (right now).

I think we might see a higher ranking when the physical release comes out.. at least top 100. CBTM is gaining a lot of popularity on radio, and that will be a huge factor.

I didn't even put this album in my iPod and my iPod is asianized with Ayumi and Utada but this album NO NO

Listening to the Z100 Interview Finally. And Wow.

"Poppin'" is SOOOO Redone!
It's more natural, less effects. At first I was put off and then it quickly grew on me. It's a whole new experience. I gained a new appreciation for the song. Sounds nice on the radio surprisingly enough. The opening is really good on the radio. Definitely reminds me of the Pixar Movie "The Incredibles". That's like my 2nd all time favorite movie.

Also, "My name is Utada! Play in my Ta-Da's underneath my shirt". ('-')

I also agree with that.
This cover is really cheap and they should at least take a new one for the album, this cover is not so eye catching. I'm also asking myself what this cover has to do with the music inside.
I also agree that her japanese albums' covers are too plain with the exception of DEEP RIVER.
It had something more to it, deeper and definitely eye catching, but for her albums that's the only cover I could say that was good.
(I guess her best album came with the best cover but that's for me).

Well we shouldn't be too hasty here, because she might change the cover for the physical release, I hope she does. The picture is OK, but look at all those awesome pictures of her recently that look so much better.. She needs something more eye-catching... And seems like she has a thing for face-shots on covers, but This is The One needs more

Please reread this statement and tell me how that makes any sense. Because I don't get it. R&B is Utada's original genre, how is she trying too hard to be fit into a section of music that she's always been in?

BY THE WAY, on US itunes there are these two bizarre songs that come up under Utada...

one is I Will Win Win Over You (Utada Hikaru Style) and the other is Ah Wo Noss (Jewel of Beirut Arabic Tune Utada Hikaru Waltz). what the heck is up with those?
