On the topic of Ku releasing so much more than ayu while touring despite having essentially an overall busier life than ayu, I think it has a lot to do with how they both reached superstardom. I’m not saying ayu hasn’t had struggles in her life but she said way back when she never had this undying desire to be a singer. Like she kind of fell into it and then fell in love with it. And she took off relatively early in her career - almost an instant smash.

Ku on the other hand had a real struggle reaching her superstardom phase. She struggled in the industry with pleasing those around her and their demands of her, so I think she has a stronger drive to continue running forward on that path after the gates finally opened for her. She’s a lot more “eager” than ayu.

It’s almost like the stars were already naturally aligned for ayu. Ku had to play a few rounds of poker before she finally acquired the right hand.

it’s almost as if the industry was mad with the package they got along with discovering her vocal talent and charisma. She automatically was a disappointment - I don’t think the industry felt the same way for ayu because she was already packaged in such a way that the only thing that shined trough was her potential, more so than ayu herself even realized I believe.

Also, Ku had the added trauma of watching her sister soar at success and be handed opportunities. It’s like Ku’s whole existence and traumas centered around “almost there...” / “not quite good ENOUGH.”

Kuu is part of the sphere that's providing an overflow of information an impressions after all.

You're pretty spot on.
Ayu had everything fell into her lap, while Kuu had to work hard to get where she is now. Kuu had to change within her carreer. And even so she never was everybody's darling.

Ayu had everything fell into her lap, while Kuu had to work hard to get where she is now. Kuu had to change within her carreer. And even so she never was everybody's darling.

I would not say ayu had everything fall to her lap. She had a flop start and had to do gravure (or however you spell that) and I bet there was a lot more between the time she dropped out of school and was discovered by Max. From that point on yes, she pretty much had the right timing for Japan to start off big.

Hmm, not a fan of the editing (it kinda fits the lyrics tho cause it was a bunch of information lol), and the song has not hooked me yet, the chorus seems bland compared to the verses. Maybe the whole thing will be better.

But girl looks stunning.
