I think it's possible since One Love has a 'huge' tie in with the official closing of the whole HYD saga

I mean if Step and Go sell extremely well despite the lack of tie in , I don't see why One Love cannot do that

I guess. But the sales between Happiness and Step and Go are really different, so I'm just nervous that it'll change for this single. =[

Tegomass so deserve to be number 1...... My goodness... the difference between AAA and BUMP OF CHICKEN's album sales... AAA is so underated in Japan... a pity though cos' i really like their stuff...

Arashi - I'm pretty sure ONE LOVE will do better than Step & Go, but I don't know if it will have the impact that HYD2 had on Flavor of Life. That was a TV show that was played every week, this movie is only going to be played once, and that's it.
Thelma / KAT-TUN - Please god let KAT-TUN take the top spot, even though I don't like them. I just hate Thelma's song even more It's even worse than that Sen no Kaze ni Natte song last year that stole #1 from Hikki.
Utada - Good job not dropping to much! #21 and #24!
MEG - Wow, amazing!! She got #5!
BUMP OF CHICKEN - Those are great sales for a b-sides collection.
B'z - My jaw dropped when I saw their daily index. Amazing.

^As much as I like Soba/Thelma, I don't want it to be #1 either. I think Kuri's new single is better than Soba. I really don't care who takes the #1 spot because I'm pretty much disappointed with the single sales this year. Not a single one of them has crossed the 500K mark yet. (u_u) Although last year's album sales was very disappointing, the single sales were way better than this year's single sales.

I'm still hoping that someone later on in the year comes with a smash single that passes the 500K mark and takes the number 1 position from Thelma and KAT-TUN. If Arashi did that with One Love, I would be sooo happy. aiko too!!!

^If aiko did it I would be ecstatic. It seems like the yearly #1 singles are always so undeserving. "Sen no ni Natte", "REAL FACE" and "Seishun Amigo" weren't good enough for that title, IMO.

Hope Tegomass continue good sales and pull off 100K first week.

I haven't heard the first song, but REAL FACE was great, but Seishun Amigo wasn't that great to sell so much.

One Love totally deserves it though. I forgot that singles can sell 500k! I hope Arashi can do it.

whaaaaat, the "Seishun Amigo" single is one of my favorite JE singles of all time. it beats "Real Face" to the ground, in my opinion. "Seishun Amigo" sold as much as it did because the B-sides also had HUGE j-drama tie-ins too (Gokusen 2 & Dragon Zakura). i thought it deserved the yearly #1.

but anyway, wasn't expecting B'z to get those sales, but it is B'z and a best album. & yay for Tegomass!

The b-sides are love, but Seishun Amigo itself doesn't top Real Face.

Are you talking about shuuji to akira's seishun amigo?
If so I got that song not long ago and I loved it. I didn't hear other songs from them though.

Shuji to Akira= Kame and Yamapi. The b-sides are their solo songs from the dramas they were in at the time.
And it sold 1,621,222 copies altogether.
