SPYAIR perform inside of a cage in PV for 'Fire Starter'

SPYAIR have revealed the PV for their new song "Fire Starter", which will be released as their new single on July 22.

Directed by Fukatsu Masakazu, the PV features the band members performing inside of a cage. It tells the story of people who have lost their freedom after being thrown into a cage for unfair reasons. They gradually recover their vitality, break out from the cage, and become free again.

SPYAIR’s visuals for new single are based on red

SPYAIR’s new single, “Firestarter”, is the theme song for Nippon TV & Hulu drama, “THE LAST COP”, and will be released on July 22. On June 9, SPYAIR’s 10-year anniversary, the band released new visuals and the track listing for the new single.

The lyrics float on top of a big-boned and wild sound and convey a piercing attitude that prevails even in this world full of conflict. The new visuals are based on red and go along with the band’s attitude.

A rerecording of “Just Like This”, off of their 2010 single “Last Moment”, titled “JUST LIKE THIS 2015” will be included as the coupled song. It is a song where the band went back to their roots 10 years after their formation and 5 years after their debut.

The limited edition single comes with a DVD of the “Firestarter” music video and making-of video as well as a SPYAIR TATTOO sticker. SPYAIR will hold a solo outdoor concert called “JUST LIKE THIS 2015” at Fujikyu Highland on August 8. This will be their first solo outdoor show since their Hibiya outdoor concert in 2011. It will be their biggest concert, bringing in 10,000 people.
