Album is pretty good! Well, there are three songs that standout a LOT for me. RUNWAY, the track that follows that, and Holoholo. Even my friend like RUNWAY and she doesn't like any Japanese stuff.

I mean those three songs alone are better than anything Ayu has released in recent times.

^ LOL, you be funny...
anything off of again blows these out of the water.

I gave the album a listen through... I liked Ai Otsuka, but this stuff is... well, i guess it just has to grow on ya.

You don't like RUNWAY!? It's so much fun! Classic Ai! Remind me of her amazing b-sides. I haven't given the rest of the album much of a chance yet but I'm so happy with the 3 songs I do like that I could give a damn if the rest of the album sucks.

well now, i didnt say i didnt like them...
it does remind me of jpop 90's and I was never a big fan of that...

its nice, maybe I will listen to this album again, but over all, not very much.

Lol, you draw comparisons to Jpop of the 90's yet you adore the Love songs album... I never listened to Jpop 90's, honestly I don't really know what it would be, but I could see what people were saying about Ayu's having a 90's feel to it. This however, is more of a funky, fun, acoustic-type sound that Ai has done well in so many other songs (Hanikami Jane is the most prominent example I can think of).

That's your opinion. I also felt I liked this album a lot more than any of Ayu's releases this year; but that's not saying Ayu is worse or mediocre..probably just my music tastes changing. Both ladies are still very talented.

I just finished listening to 裸人 in full, and it's a great, concise album. I love the new style Ai has embraced whilst being the singer of Rabbit. I hope they do well so they release more stuff! The world could do with more stuff like it.

Also, Ai's voice sounds so clear and beautiful. The break really did her well. So happy she's back in the music industry after having her child.

PS: The next Ai thread should metamorphosis into a Rabbit thread, totally~ I'd make one for them now, but this is a valid place to discuss them until 500 posts. Only 30 posts to go, so let's get some album reviews going

I finally received my copy of Rabito in the mail earlier this month and I really, really like it! It's just like... the perfect length. No filler tracks. I enjoyed every song. I like it better than a lot of the big releases this year; better than Namie Amuro's Uncontrolled.

Huh?

I have a feeling that if this is right, this is NOT the SAME Ai... Very short hair... (I really miss her old days)

Here I am, listening to Ningyou from LOVE LETTER; and it hits me. I freaking miss Ai Otsuka. I miss the LOVE PUNCH -> LOVE LETTER Ai Otsuka. What happened, man? LOVE is BEST was disappointing, then I just lost all interest in her. Which is crazy because I was madly in love with her music.

I put in the wrong way. I know she's in Rabito I mean was like what's she's been up to other than Rabito, because I also haven't heard of Rabito. Will she consider going solo again? things like that

Go listen to RUNWAY, Awa Garu (泡ガール) and HoloHolo by Rabbit and then rejoice in the fact that she's still in there somewhere!
