LMAO. I think it's great that they kept the costume throughout the show. Despite how silly everything looks, I think it's pretty commendable that they're still on-point with their vocals. Must be tough in those costumes I would imagine.

Yamashita Tomohisa, Karina & Toda Erika to star in new Getsu-9 drama 'SUMMER NUDE'

Earlier this week, it was announced that singer and actor Yamashita Tomohisa is going to star in the upcoming getsu-9 drama for the new season, 'SUMMER NUDE'.

'SUMMER NUDE' is going to replace the exciting and popular 'Galileo' on Fuji TV on Mondays and feature a more calm setting at a relaxing beach hut. The main plot of this romantic drama will be driven by a love triangle involving the two actresses', Karina and Toda Erika, characters.

Yamashita plays a cameraman named 'Mikuriya Asahi' who works at a small studio near the beach. He still can't forget his former love who left him out of the blue one day. At the beach, he meets 'Natsuki' (Karina). Her fiancé ran away just before their marriage, so she shares the same sad fate as Asahi. Natsuki works at a beach hut that is run by one of Asahi's old friends from school. Toda plays a junior from Asahi's school days, 'Hanae', who has feelings for Asahi.

Yamashita Tomohisa’s love triangle with Karina & Toda Erika in new Getsu9 drama!

On May 27th, it was announced that Yamashita Tomohisa (28) will be starring in FujiTV's next season getsu9 drama "SUMMER NUDE" to begin broadcasting in July (Mondays 9PM). This is the first time in 3 years for Yamashita to have a drama in the primetime slot since "Code Blue - Doctor Helicopter Emergency ～2nd season～" (January 2010) and this time he gets to star in a love story that involves Karina (29) and Toda Erika (24). Yamashita commented, "I would like to make everyone skip a heart beat as a summer present".

The drama tells the story of three people, one man and two women, living by the seaside and trying to restart their unforgettable past and find love with the help of summer and an open mind. Since the full-scale recording will start in June, there's a huge open set under construction on a beach that will sure become the main attraction of this summer.

Yamashita plays the role of Mirukiya Asahi, a photographer who is not able to forget his former lover after she suddenly left him 3 years ago, Mirukiya used to be a man of big dream but now founds himself taking pictures of family events in town. He will have a fateful encounter with Chiyohara Natsuki (Karina) after he captures the moment when she is left in the altar by her fiancé.

Chiyohara is a talented cook who then starts working for one of Mirukiya's acquaintances, they will bond when they realize they both share the same miserable faith. Meanwhile his High School classmate Taniyama Hanae (Toda Erika) who had always been in love with him, tries to take advantage of the situation and win his heart.

Currently Yamashita is in the 'pursuit of knowledge' by learning from professional photographers in order to prepare for his role. He revealed, "I want to enjoy this frustrated love triangle".

This is the 4th time Yamashita gets to co-star with Karina in either a movie or drama, since "Kabachitare!", "Long Love Letter ~Hyoryu Kyoshitsu~" and "Ashita no Joe".

Yamashita talked about working with her, "Eventhough it's been more than 10 years since the first time we worked together (January 2001), it took a lot of time for our roles to be romantically involved. I'm looking forward to a role that suits her quality".

As for Toda-san, it's been 3 years since they co-starred in "Code Blue" and it's also the 4th time they work together after "Nobuta. wo produce", "Code Blue 1" and "Code Blue 2". Yamashita commented, "She has a naive role and because she has this straightforward and cheerful image, I think they'd fit perfectly". Furthermore, "I want this drama to portray the fun times that comes with Summer season. Never ending youth! I think this drama will represent that", he revved up.

Karina is already used to play the heroine role in getsu9 dramas after, "Watashi ga renai dekinai riyuu" (October 2011) and "PRICELESS~Aruwakeneedaronnamon!" (October 2012). She commented, "After this drama is over, I want people to feel like falling in love purely during summer! A fateful encounter!, if that happens I'll be happy". Toda-san also has experience in playing the heroine role in getsu9 dramas like, "Taisetsu na koto wa subete Kimi ga Oshiete kureta" (January 2011) and "Kagi no Kakatta Heya" (April 2012).

Toda-san expressed with enthusiasm, "Since I'm used to play a lot of unique roles it feels somewhat embarrassing to play a normal woman who falls in love like an everyday story, I think even single women can enjoy this story and relate to it, I want to enjoy this role by honestly expressing the feelings of this honest woman".

The actress who will be in charge of playing Chiyohara's former girlfriend will be revealed later on.

Nagasawa Masami to appear in next 'Getsu 9' drama starring Yamashita Tomohisa

It has been revealed that actress Nagasawa Masami will make an appearance in next "Getsu 9" drama "SUMMER NUDE", which will star Yamashita Tomohisa.

This will mark the first time in 6 years for Nagasawa to co-star with Yamashita since they last appeared together in "Proposal Daisakusen" aired in 2007.

As we reported previously, "SUMMER NUDE" will be set at a beach hut. The protagonist "Mikuriya Asahi" (Yamashita) is a cameraman who can't forget his ex-girlfriend who suddenly left him. The drama depicts a love triangle between Asahi, and two women "Chiyohara Natsuki" (played by Karina), a chef whose fiance left her right before their marriage, and "Taniyama Hanae" (played by Toda Erika) who has been in love with Asahi for 10 years since high school.

In the drama, Nagasawa will play Asahi's former love "Kasumi".

Nagasawa, who joined the filming in the beginning of this month, commented, "Since it's a summer drama, the first day of filming already gave me the summer feeling. The summer-like excitement inside of me is swelling up, and I would like to enjoy it."

"SUMMER NUDE" will begin airing on July 8th on Fuji TV (every Monday at 9:00 pm).

^ It was briefly mentioned in Tegomasu's radio show that they're working on an album. But I'm not sure when it'd be released. I'm really excited for that though. Their albums are always so amazing. My favorite songs of theirs are actually album tracks.

Ah!! I just remember the cat photos campaign mentioned their new album. NEWS members are very active this year.
