I just watched the PV and I must say it was ALRIGHT. Not what I expected though, especially in terms of the PV itself. The water scenes were weak IMO, and the song is forgettable. I need to listen to it some more

I listened to Megumi no Ame earlier on

not bad but somehow even after a few more listens to the song , I can't remember how it sounds like

maybe after watching the PV , it will change my mind over it ?

& I so like the erhu going on in the music <3

i hope the erhu is not the only thing that's keeping me interested in the song...but i think that's the cold hard truth for me....and the pv..kinda..eh..dull..though alan looked beautiful

Lol why butcher knife , but i agree song hasnt reached its full potential lets hope the B side is like another Kagome !

ah ok..people agree with me, i didn't want to kicked out when you guys say it's amazing and that i'm stupid @_@

but yeah..alan's songs..i feel like she's still holding back, i mean ashita e no sanka..since she haven't written the lyrics herself, maybe she can't feel the emotion, maybe the only way she can do that is if she have to do her tibetan yodeling, but i'm sorry..i just don't like it yet, cause ok i'm going to explain what determines if i'll like a song or not
i look for that "special part" in a song, the climax in a way, for ex. the yodeling in AENS, it's the part where you're like "woah..." but megumi no ame sounds generic to me, there's no special part to it...other than the erhu~ but i'm not counting that
and the pv reminds me of ayu's CDL 07-08, the row of violin? cello? players

It is generic and sort of boring, but it's pretty. It's sort of like candy, it's not really substantial, but it makes you feel good for a little while and then you go off craving substance. Kaze no Tegami left the same feeling

^ i totally agree with you it does feel like alan (avex) is holding back on her full potential
megumi no ame is a beautiful song but it still doesnt fully capture alan's ability, is it me or does this song sound a bit like ayu's Heaven and also the song they used to use in the old Bistro Oxo gravy adverts (you wont understand what i mean unless your from england).

this is one of those songs that you'll keep in your music player, and will appreciate after stumbling on it some time later..

i actually loved the megumi no ame PV and song. definately enjoyed that than RED CLIFF, which i didn't enjoy at all.

The erhu part sounds a lot like the erhu solo in Natsukashii Mirai.

And I agree with pommy about the "climax" of songs. That's always the thing that draws me to songs... because I look forward to that special part. Megumi no Ame doesn't have that .

I was surprised when I listened to the song; everyone here seems to think it's bland, but I really enjoy it. Much better than RED CLIFF in my opinion. I hope it'll sell well, and that we get her album soon!
