I do, too. She has a great voice, is talented and pretty.
I don't understand how there are so many other artists and female solos, even indie, surviving on the market, but Jasmine apparently can't.

Eight Entertainment is a label created by her and a friend btw.
She shared more info on the crowdfunding site how she has problems releasing music cause she doesn't have the money. She never stopped making music in all those years.

On another note I rediscovered Black Kitty with her releasing new stuff.
Such a smooth song. Still love it.

tbqh. I'm still a big fan but I never understood her visuals after her first album and it got worse with money missing. You can look cool on a low budget, but she always looks cheap somehow

I listened to Black Kitty today after a long while & I know back when it was 1st released , reaction to it was mixed

My opinions towards Black Kitty then & now is still the same in that I still feel the song's good

I thought JASMINE went independent after she released PURE LOVE BEST so for her to be now under a new label after releasing a series of new songs digitally , it's surprising

Aoyama Thelma hasn't sell well in years & yet Universal still keeps her in their rooster , same thing with BENI

I frankly sometimes don't understand how things work in the Japan music industry

^she is independent. Being under a label does not not make you. As Corvina said, it is her own label - and therefore an indie label.

I still love that song that is called after that one semi-famous chic.

A lot of female solo acts haven't been musically successful over the last few years but they're still under the same record label they're in

I don't know why JASMINE is the exception to this :x

The crowdfunding was a success, 200 % even!
And it's still running 43 days.
About 200 people supported her till now and she sold all milestones, even the one for 2 million yen.

Hope the mini will be available digital as well, not only the two digital singles they wanna put out before in October. Otherwise it's going to be hard to get the mini e.g. on auctions with such few copies being made.

I love her voice and her music style. I think she's an interesting artist.
but I don't really get her 'career'.

Just heard the album, some thoughts:

- I forgot how long BLACK KITTY is. I think I'd like the song more if it was shorter. It just goes on and on.
- Loving how chill STAR is.
- MY SINGLE MOTHER is probably my favourite track in the album.
- I prefer Jazee Minor's part in OH BOY than JASMINE's
- I'm living for the pop-R&B ballad that is ROAD as well.

I'm really liking the new album tracks and this sound from JASMINE (except maybe WANNA BE ME). Like the description that Karen has shared, it really is a good showcase of the various styles of R&B and she seems to be pulling them off quite well too. I hope she continues to evolve as an artiste if it's gonna be moving in this direction.
