I don't know what to make of that list, because I'm pretty sure in the interview the band said that "Kraken" was a starting title, but didn't work and this list is missing the track the band talked about in depth that will most definitely be on the album: "Never Go Back" (previously Orange). I would take this track listing with a grain of salt. I don't think the band has decided on a final one yet.

Amy said that it's the self titeled album because it was a really BAND work, she said that they all brought something into the songs like she felt the whole band was involved this time. Plus it's not so weird..I remmeber Britney Spears had her I dunno 3 or 4th album as self titled.

and acording to Tim, Your Love isn't gonna be on the album... *shrugs*

haha fans who were at the broadcast said they recorded 3 performances just before the live broadcast started and then aired the best one while the band was preparing for interview part. so it wasn't exactly the "live"..but i agree... I LOVED it *_*

The singer/pianist then went into a small control room and began playing the first single, "What You Want" (which is on radio now). The song opens with Lee's haunting, crystalline voice imploring, "Do what you, what you want, if you all have a dream for better." Lee stood and listened, glass of red wine in hand, rocking her head to the big industrial-strength sound, even mouthing along to some of the words. When the song ended, she let out a "woo-hoo."

Next up: "The Change," which begins with a gentle vibe that grows more insistent, but when it got to the end and the next track, "The Other Side" started right away, Lee griped, "Come on! Cut off the ending?" But she was soon lightly hitting the table with her left fist as the third song, with its more grinding groove, got going.

"My Heart Is Broken" which begins softly with piano and vocals, quickly upped the intensity and Lee went back in the main room to experience the final two songs there. She returned to the control room towards the end of the impassioned ballad "Lost In Paradise," a likely contender for a single. "Man, I wanna hear the whole thing," she exclaimed after all five songs had been played. "One more!"

Amy Lee Says Album Art "About Evanescence, Not Just Me"

If one were to study the covers of Evanescence's first two albums, they'd quickly notice that, aside from all the dark swirly bits, they share another rather unifying concept: Namely, they both feature frontwoman Amy Lee ... and only frontwoman Amy Lee.

Of course, things are different these days. For the first time, Lee says that Evanescence are really, truly a band, and the songs on their upcoming third album are the end result of countless hours spent hammering out rhythms and melodies together. Which is why they made the decision to call the new album, simply, Evanescence.

For further proof of this point, one only has to glance at the cover of the album, which features nothing more than the band's name (and some of the prerequisite dark and swirlies). And while some fans may be mystified by the simple design, Lee told MTV News that there's definitely a message behind the minimalism.

"Well, both of our other records are me on the cover, and I think it's cool to have that photo, you know, that people can look at and go, 'OK, that's who that is.' But I feel like, by now, they know who we are, and I wanted something really different," she said. "I didn't feel like we had to put a photo on the cover, I wanted it to be more mysterious and more about Evanescence itself, not just me."

And that concept extends beyond Evanescence's cover image. As Lee explained, on the new album, she and her musical mates are exploring every aspect of the band ... starting with the name itself. Because, for the first time, Evanescence is more than just its frontwoman.

"The idea to not have any photos on the outside I thought was really cool," she said. "And all the images and the artwork is a play on the meaning of the word 'Evanescence.' It means 'to dissipate like vapor,' so I decided to go with light and vapor ... it's really about Evanescence, not just me."

I decided to download the album to give it a test drive (I know shame on me )...

I don't really think it's that much different from their old stuff honestly . I think it's just OK...Nothing really special about it imo.

^well, that's unfortunate. Admittedly, I said the same thing about the Open Door, and it took me several years before I appreciated the album for it's own sake (and I love it now), so... who knows? Maybe I'll immediately love this album, maybe it'll take me a while. I'm optimistic, considering what I've heard so far.

I'm most definitely going to wait until I buy my own copy before I listen. Evanescence is one of the few bands I'll suffer waiting for.
