thanks JEWELian for that review and info bout her 60th single!!

what can i say...
i was kinda expecting her to use her 60th single for the summer release, so i'm glad to hear this!
with a song from UK i really really really hope she recorded some tropical house or house themed pop song song...

UK has so many good artists and genres atm that i really hope she goes that route instead of another Poppin'LALALALA type of crap...
BUT with songs like HOTEL, DITR or EX TAPE which changed her typical summer/ballad formula i'm quite positive we get some fresh song for this!
hope for Cupcake and Promise you being the other songs on this release!

I don't even want to know what the licensing fee must have been to put the real Emotion single cover on a tour poster...

Today was another great show, she sang the 2nd day setlist too (sen no kotoba~you~kiseki / koishikute / with your smile).

She fudged the lyrics in Kiseki and her dress in koi no tsubomi got caught on their stairs on her way down. The video before the encore featured footage from today of her in Kagawa eating udon at some shop (Kagawa is famous for udon).

I think I enjoyed tonight more for some reason, it was just really fun and was definitely paying attention to her dancing a lot more. She KILLED it during BUT and Crazy 4 U is basically the dance from the PV (which is on the screen behind her). You could tell she was having such a great time, but the fake crying got a bit much during some ballads and in the MC at the end when she goes on about not wanting the show to end.

Funny tidbit, I met some fans this morning AND her fan club staff on the train from Naruto (a 'one man'-er, Naruto is a tiny ass town whose station only has one platform...) to Takamatsu.

The fan club staff remembered me from yesterday and said good morning (lol) and then they were nice enough to have my ticket ready for me when they started selling goods at 13:30 today.

I also made friends with a nice lady and her 3 year old from Fukuoka, turns out I may have met them two years ago at the Bon Voyage tour which is cool!

So I'm super tardy to the party but I'm just now watching The Artist...and I have to say I'm really not enjoying it so far. It irritates me to no end how she can't stay in time with the music when she sings most of her ballads (LOOKING AT YOU, AI NO UTA) and I know this isn't a new thing of hers but it makes everything such a chore to listen to.

I feel you. I'm not too bothered by it, but it does bother me a bit

I didn't enjoy "The Artist" either. As for me there was too many ballads and she was struggling with their performance very often.

I saw THE ARTIST after going through a (maybe) 2 month period of watching all of ayu's concerts (CDLs included) which are really all just reinventions of each other. THE ARTIST was like the biggest fresh air I'd ever had but I probably enjoyed it more than I would have if it weren't for the circumstances.

For some strange reason The Artist wasn't as enjoyable to me as previous tours (which I could listen to over and over again) but I'm rediscovering old ones like Dejavu, I'm in love with "I don't love you" atm and other funny songs like Good*Day or Melting, Joyful, etc, I know they are not singles so they won't happen again soon, I prefer them to most of her singles.

Me too! It was not only the first Kumi song I heard, but the first Japanese pop song at all. "real Emotion" is very dear to me because it basically changed everything in my life, and I made sure to buy the single when I had the chance

Spoiler:
Also, FFX-2 was the first game in the series that I played (never finished it though).

I totally get that. It's like the lesser of two evils. I haven't seen all of The Artist, but from what I did see I was like, meh. However, it's not that bad when I watch some of Ayu's recent lives. That's a real chore. So, in the end I'm just happy that even at her "worst" I still like Kuu more than most other artists.

^I did. It's not amazing but it's pretty decent, quite warm and comfortable.

The wording is not part of the fabric though so I'm not sure how it'll go when it's washed.
