What a stupid reason for those "major companies" that didn't want to use AYU in their CMs, she doesn't have to sing in the CM if there's need for it, isn't it~? AND I think AYU's voice can come out properly~Anyways, it is pity that those companies don't want to use AYU in their commericals~

I can see where it can be read as misogyny. But its not necessarily the male standard of beauty but rather the general standard of beauty here; plenty of women feel the same way as what he stated in this poll.

I think they may be referring to both her singing and speaking voice. Generally companies want people with pretty speaking voices but a lot of people don't actually like Ayu's speaking voice. (very husky sounding) I like it because it is unique though. For commercials though, unique might not be the best thing.

when i read the title of the poll, i thought the reason could be because it is too expensive to hire ayu... but when i look at the reason the poll had given, i find it real lame.. but it does show that how much ayu's voice really affect her image...

this poll, to me, makes me sad and annoyed at the same time..

seems like the japs really got nothing better to do...

LOL some reasons really were just silly; Ayu's and a few others. It's like that person doesn't fit the image of the company, but they wanted to come up with some other reason to exclude them

Some other reasons made a bit of sense I suppose; like particular rudeness and such. I can understand; companies don't want to work with a person who's rude or ungrateful, or difficult to work with.

I guess that's just how marketing/promotion works, They obviously won't use someone with with a bad rep and, they'll only use people with wide audience appeal and lastly they should fit the image that the company wants.

I mean don't get me wrong, half of those list of women they DO want I really like and think they are absolutely beautiful, but they're all based on conformities of the conservative "Japanese" ideals. I personally think most of the reasons they gave for both polls are pretty stupid.

Boldness in women is far more attractive, imo =\ Buuut, seems like they're hiring the women that the men of the corporate world can't feel intimidated by

At least ayu's reasons aren't tied to her persona. As for the groupies thing, are they referring to her "entourage", like not her fans (fans are a good thing) but basically that she brings too many people with her all the time (body guards/Dancers/friends etc). I can totally understand how that may be annoying.

At least Namie didn't make the list! I couldn't imagine people having any problem with her, she seems very professional. I think the only reason she didn't make the want list is because I'm sure she costs a lot haha.

I can understand, Ayu's speaking voice its strange.. cute but in a strange way lol.
So may companies want people with a more clear voice, I guess.

It's true, she doesn't have any manners at all and always speaks too rude and informal.

This is such crap. That's her image, she puts out that rocker attitude in her music and videos. Doesn't mean she's rude to every person she meets...

Ayu's bit is kinda reasonable, but Anna shouldn't be there.
