Neither have been translated yet, but the first of the two mentions an iPhone (which a lot of Japanese celebrities have been talking about lately o.O) and in the second she talks about non-no magazine (maybe that's who the photoshoot was for?) Anyway, I'd assume the single announcement is coming soon! Hope for a translation soon!

That used to mean "flower" in Ainu language!

It's the nanchuumenkoi* language!

Before I knew it, I began to have doubts about this succesful magazine that's mysteriously called "Non-no" (Which when I first saw it, I thought it was some sort of pun, since there are many magazines with a name that's a word-play)

It's such a cute name isn't it~!

But does anyone even know such thing? Is it alright? I'm so excited! Is it ok?

After some play with google and separating the words and such "nan chuu" seems to be a restaurant where they serve japanese tapas-style dishes and "menkoi" is a tv station with Fuji Tv or something, though I doubt any of this is related to what Utada would mean.

Non-no is a fashion magazine btw, no? Maybe she's taking an interview for them?
Or otherwise it's just our Hikki being Hikki, being curious about the most strange things XD (I like that about her)

And hey. Instead of spilling our energy over wanting Utada to do something, I think we better chill over this. Argueing won't help and there will be new songs within a while, just be patient everyone *pats heads here and there*

^ it's probably just her being curious about the name since she didn't say anything about a shoot or interview whatsoever. I mean she would've at least dropped a hint or something, right?

And yeah I already found Iwate Menkoi but I'm pretty sure it's unrelated to what she's saying. My guess is that it's some sort of Ainu word or tradition, since she's talking about the Ainu language.

As long as it doesn't mean "Magazine spread" or "new single cover", it's not very important

you know what i want? for kiriya to start directing her pvs again. her most amazing pvs are directed by him. I don't like a single pv (besides colors) of hers that isn't directed by her ex. first love, distance, heart station...all horrible videos. heart station consisting of 2 making of pvs, 1 let me sing while sitting on a subway pv, and 3 where hikki isn't even in them. then we have come back to me, its her looking sad while singing wearing 5000 different outfits every 2 seconds, walking about her house.

i think hikki has the musician part down. . .but doesnt really flow well with the actual "career"

anywayz i would love for kiriya to direct her pvs once more. the past have been (not to stereotype) but like a typical jpop pv. i liked heart station only because hikki has pretty eyes. and there seemed at least to be some basic artistic direction with the people becoming black and blah. however, theyre all so. . .meh. can we go back to surreal pv mode, hikki? and not normal "a day in the life".

i love every video kiriya's ever directed for her. and i don't like a single video he didn't direct (besides colors, amazing)
