Past photos of After School’s Nana sparks controversy


Past photos of After School’s Nana has recently sparked some controversy on community fansites.

Nana is being criticized for her past “bad girl” image, as she’s seen with a big cup of beer in one picture, and a pack of cigarettes in the other. The issue lies in the fact that when these photos were taken, Nana was a student in high school and was therefore underaged.

At first, one could hardly recognize Nana in the photos. But netizens were quick to point out that it was indeed the idol star wearing heels, heavy makeup, and a miniskirt.

Pledis Entertainment has yet to release an official statement, however they did comment, “The news is misleading. There is a misunderstanding… it is just a floating rumor.”

If you ask me, it's just nonsense.
I don't know what Korean beer looks like or what color it is but just because the glass says "Hite" (Hite is a korean beer brand) doesn't mean the glass actually contains beer. And who says it's her glass anyway?
About the cigarettes; Just because a pack of cigarettes is lying on the floor doesn't mean all people in the picture smoke. If Nana was holding a cigarette in her hands it would be a different story, but she doesn't (well as far as I can see).
Wearing having makeup doesn't make you a 'bad girl'. Nor does wearing heals. Nor does wearing a "mini skirt". Sorry but I don't think you can even call that a mini skirt.
