Umm okay maybe I should rephrase. I'm studying abroad this year in Japan. So how does one buy a ticket (I'm assuming online through a website). When do the CDL tickets go on sale and where do I go to get them?

Countdown Live's tickets (for ayu at least, not sure about other artists) are offered to Teamayu members through a lottery. Normally, many TA members who are friends enter and get more chances to get tickets, although it's very hard.

The easiest way if you aren't a TA member is to get the tickets from a reseller shop or as Suteisi said, through a middle-man.

Not sure if you can actually line up on the day the tickets go on sale, it doesn't work like that in Japan, correct me if I'm wrong

Hey Surreal Rainbow, sorry if im repeating a common question again. Any idea what are the chances of getting the lottery tickets? and how do i know if i won them and how to collect? Cos im thinking to join TA through a japanese friend but need to make sure its not too troublesome for her

I found out from another forum posting that you can get tickets from these reseller shops

Ahh I'm not sure about the chances of getting tickets through the lottery, sorry I was TA for a year but never really entered the lottery for CDL!

I know the chances are very slim though, it's really hard and it's all luck basically.

Use a middle man and buy off Yahoo! Auctions. Best (and often cheapest) way of buying tickets out of the country. I found reseller shops to be very expensive when compared to prices on Yahoo! Auctions. Plus it saves you the stress from having to find one and possibly spending far more than you expect to in desperation. Do your research though and choose a service which charges the lowest fees. There are tons out there.

As a rough guide, I got 8th row floor seats to this year's arena tour for 20,000 yen and a couple of thousand yen extra in fees and postage. Expect CDL to be more expensive than that given its not a full-blown tour.

Omg that's so expensive! It's easier to get tickets through TA friends and even from the secret man outside the arena I think The ticket that was the most expensive for me in 2010 was around 12000 yen, and it was an arena one, I got so close to the stage!

For this CDL I'll be trying to get tickets through the TA lottery and if I don't get them then through my other TA friends and if that doesn't work as well might just have to go to the reseller shops as a last option, which would end up being very very expensive

TA friends - not everyone is going to have those
"secret man outside of the arena" - wasn't going to take that gamble and I doubt many people travelling from international countries would either.

And judging from the prices other first-10-row tickets were going for on Yahoo Auctions, I thought I did very well. I saw some sell upwards of 30,000 yen.

Resellers were definitely more expensive (or not good value for money) for tickets from what I saw this year. I tried to negotiate the price for some crappy arena seats for the 2nd concert and they just said flat out no, even an hour before the concert was due to start. So I still consider what I did to be a cheaper option for those who aren't blessed with "TA friends", ie most people here. Don't expect resellers to be cheap, especially for CDL.

I didn't know about the secret man myself until I got there lol It just happened but only because I really wanted to see the concert from up-close, and those tickets were going to be wasted if nobody bought them, actually there were many empty seats around me, which sucked I guess

And it's not that hard to have Teamayu friends, and many people in here are Teamayu themselves nowadays, it's not hard at all to became part of the fanclub, and it isn't as expensive as I would've thought.

But yeah, we all find our own ways to get tickets, hopefully everyone who wants to go gets to go to the CDL this year

Yeah, the whole point being "luck out", its a gamble. Maybe for a 2nd concert, yes, but I wanted to ensure I had tickets to at least one concert before the day.

Oh you, you're so cute.

Anyway,
I'd kill to go. Not literally, but you know. It'd be the BEST thing of the year for me. Then I'd burn my syntax book while dancing to fairyland. Gonna re-enact that burning scene in some parking lot. Stupid book.

Sorry, I balloted for all 3 days but I'm going to Maaya Sakamoto on the 30th, so I really needed to get the 29th or 31st, and I got the 29th, so I'm dying of happiness over here. First time seeing Ayu too.
