Snowy kiss: Honestly the song is not my fave song from her, but it is still pretty good, the pv lets us see a different side of her although again is not my fave from her it is a nice piece to the story.
Wake me up: Has to be one of my fave songs now I am so addicted to this song absolutely love it. The pv although many of you seem to hate it. I actally like it. It lets us see a more fun and casual side to Ayumi, like what she might be like as Ayumi Hamasaki and not just Ayu the artist. a more personal side to her. Its nice to see her just having fun and what not. And it helps that the song is epic! Sweet scar: The song is pretty but I doubt I'll ever listen to it without watching the pv. The pv itself is artistic and all but honestly very boring. |

okay, apparently what Japanese fans don't like is that Ayu's constantly using her lovers in her video materials. I think I agree with that, because, really, it's not very good, Ayu
![]() other than that, I have rewatched my friend's again DVD for a couple of times, and I have come to conclusion that no, I do not like these new PVs. because they look very very cheap, I think, and kind of boring. the lightning is bad, the acting is even worse. like a 90s video, as someone pointed it out. like a very bad 90s video. I couldn't really watch Snowy kiss PV, no matter how I liked the song. because there were too many things meshed together on repeat in a 6-min video |

The songs are all amazing. I really like them.
The PVs though are pretty dullsville, and I really don't like the use of domestic violence as a plot point in her songs. I guess it feels cheap and tacked on, which isn't really fair for such a serious issue. She looks nice in all 3 PVs but the story is so basic that it hurts - I miss the days where even simple stories could be powerful like how you can read the story in RAINBOW as one of self-acceptance. So simple but so moving. Ayu's character is with a foreign guy who fans take as Mannie, she demonises him as uncaring and then cheats on him instead of just calling it quits. Who is really the sympathetic character here? When her words are about the difficulty of moving on from disappointment and being let down, she is pictured doing something the average person would find just as cruel. I feel really confused about the whole thing and I'm not sure where she can go to from here. She's been divorced for almost as long as she was married - how much longer is this issue going to keep popping up? I thought Return Road was the end of it and You & Me seemed like the start of a new bright era for Ayu but she seems trapped in whatever period of disappointment (?) she had with Mannie and just keeps harping on about it when it only seems natural that she should be making fun, happy videos or at least something uplifting now that she has a new lover. Not making dramasone PVs about cheating on a former lover stand-in with her new IRL lover. I really miss the feeling of Ayu being in control of the world around her. Her PVs are a bit of a hot mess at the moment and I'm not getting the magic out of them that I used to. Bah, so confus. |

Her PVs have been really hit or miss for a long time, since like.. MY STORY.
'again' PVs are rather disappointing, but I know she has the potential to wow us again. |
