^ yeah their new album is their 1st one that includes their new member Seika who plays the saxophone

Honestly I tried to listen to their albums but oh boy it's very difficult

But the singles that're included in Ø CHOIR are pretty good & I'm still obsessed with Wizard Club up to now haha

I don't quite like Nanokame no Ketsui that much & it's quite shocking it's almost 7 mins long

^ yeah Nanokame no Ketsui is quite boring unfortunately D: . I'm surprised the fans like it when the song was 1st premiered at their concert last year at the Budokan :x

Anyway , the single debuted at #2 with 1st day sales of 26,702

I used to be one of their biggest fans and I still own several of their CD's as well as this one photobook they released once. But I somehow lost interest after a while in their music, and now everything is sitting on my shelves collecting dust.. so I'm not sure if I should give their latest single a chance?

A user above said it's a rock ballad, so does it resemble any of their older songs by any chance?

I realised in general , their ballads are not their strong forte . The last ballad I really liked a lot from them was Kanashimi wa Kitto

For their most recent material , I do enjoy Fight For Liberty / Wizard CLUB + Nano・Second . Nanokame no Ketsui is not that good & it's almost 7 mins long which really shocked me when I saw the track duration

Does Koishikute count as a ballad? If so then I loved this one A LOT as well as it's PV.
Kanashimi wa Kitto was also a song I liked. I own the single as well but it was also the last single I was able to buy, even if I liked a few that came after that...
I loved the 7th Trigger one and yes Fight for Liberty/Wizard CLUB as well.

The last album I bought was actually LAST ( funny in some way isn't it?)
but I know I loved Life 6 SENSE and was upset when I never had money to buy it.
Maybe I should catch up on that one day when I have some money, as well as some singles I like and miss in my collection.

I missed so much of them release wise though, that I feel like not even catching up anymore because it's "too much" somtimes or so it feels.
I know I loved the Band so much too years ago, but now I just check when I see they released something and I give it a try, but for some reason I never love their recent stuff as much as all the old things...

Sorry for the long reply and opinions

Oh yes definitely Koishikute is a ballad & as for myself , I'm not a super hardcore fan of UVERworld

They do have some great songs in their discography but I personally feel their albums are not easy to get into . I tried to listen to them but it was really hard for me :x

Likewise , not all of their singles are great but when they're done right , it's home run for them

Then Koishikute is my favorite ballad for sure!
I remember when it was released, ah good times

It's okay, haha I know not everyone is a fan of them. I remember years ago many people kept telling me their music is terrible whenever I told them they were my favorite band. Or many people actually told me Takuya's voice was bad and it hurt their ears.
I think their music is just not for everyone. It's a hit or a miss really basically like you said.

I prefer Albums because there are a lot of songs on it, and you just hope that most of them will be good. I know the disappointment when they are mostly bad though.
I do love Timeless the most of their albums.
Actually.. I love their first 4 albums but I can see why people would have problems getting into them or their music

I'm not a big fan, I know them because D-Technolife was the opening for Bleach, and I really love that song. They have some songs I really like, but I don't listen to their albums and some singles are boring for me. But I always check their music because they have some amazing songs

I don't expect everyone to be a big fan. I myself am not one anymore either.

I think many people got into them from the Bleach opening/s
It's always interesting to read how people got into them or their opinions about the band and songs.
I don't think I ever met anyone who was a really big fan though. ( and it's not necessary I'm just saying)

Some of UVERworld's more prominent hits are the singles they released that were used for animes

So I guess that's how I decided to give their music a try . That said , not everything in their discography is perfect but the ones that're good are very good even up to now

Such as Colours of the Heart & Gekidou

I gave their latest single a try and sadly I don't like it.
I feel that it's quite boring, or for me, there is something missing in the songs that makes me go WOW or something..
like I need something that makes me want to listen to the song over and over but those seem quite boring.

The Anime tie-ins were good promotion for them that's for sure

I loved Gekidou! I own the single as well in both types <3
I liked endscape so much too though, and Ukiyo Crossing was pretty nice too ( I adored Takuya's looks and outfit in the PV and even bought something close to his outfit because I adored him so much back then )

I went through my albums again, and I finally decided that I like Timeless and AwakEVE the most of them. If someone makes me choose I would have to go with one of those albums.
Even if one of my absolute favorite songs isn't on either of those albums.

How can someone not love LIFE 6 SENSE?

CORE PRIDE, Itsuka Kanarazu Shinu Koto wo Wasureru na, NO. 1, Qualia, Shousha Okubyoumon, MONDO PIECE and Hakuchuumu are flawless songs and the whole album is pretty much awesome

And what about THE ONE?

7th Trigger, KINJITO, THE OVER (one of their best ballads), REVERSI, BABY BORN & GO...

Seriously, UVERworld's last two albums were incredible awesome, I can't get why you guys don't like them

I'm a big fan from their very first single, been following these guys since D-tecnoLife was released ^^
