Maybe singing in baby voice helps her to control voice?

Yesterday I watched CDL 2006-2007 on YouTube. No way to say was so beautiful it made me cry. After that FNS version doesn't sounds as touching for me.

I really loved her voice from 2006 to 2010. Yes, the technique wasn't the best and she was off key here and there, but it was very pleasant to me, she sounded like a woman singing (bar cutesy sections on concerts), not a girl.

Such 2 strong performances ! Her voice was really beautiful and she was gorgeous (especially her look for Haru yo koi)

Visually the performances were beautiful but I did not like her voice in either of the performances. Ayu baby voice is my least favorite ayu voice lately. It really takes away the uniqueness and any amount of emotion you can usually hear in her voice.

A little OT but Avex made something right: A BALLADS 2 is discounted! Both the AAC version and the FLAC Hi Res version. Right now the Hi-Res version is charting at #61 on Mora General Albums Chart, and #14 on the Recochoku Hi-Res Album Daily Chart. Let's hope this discount goes until the end of December, at least.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I thought it was a good choice of songs to perform (and some nice A Ballads 2 promo!) but her vocals weren't to my taste. Did she perform in her cutesy voice to appeal to the public?

I liked the outfits though!

She looked great and I liked the song choices. Her voice was well controlled, but I also don't like the cutesy voice.

I loved both of the performances I don't mind cutesy voice that much since she controls her vocals soooo good with that.. I'm not a fan of cutesy voice as a voice but the way she can sing her songs without being off-key 80% of the time. This is her voice of the 2020's and I'm okay with that

She looks super cute and sings well, but the cutesy voice is not for me... It removes the emotion and I don't feel anything.

Both Performances are good but I like No way to say more. I hope ayu gets recovered soon.

Regarding her voice, reminds me Love Songs era. I can see why some people didn't like it.

at this point I've stopped thinking of this kind of vocal as "baby voice" because I too think it's a necessary technique for her to control her pitch, which I suppose must be extremely difficult to do with her hearing condition.

because of this, I find both performances to be wonderful. she was on pitch. no screaming. wonderful
