Takizawa Hideaki resigns as CEO of Johnny's Island, Inohara Yoshihiko succeeds

Takizawa Hideaki has resigned from his position as CEO of Johnny's Island. He has been succeeded by Inohara Yoshihiko (20th Century).

In mid-September, Takizawa expressed his wishes to resign from his position. Although they didn't want to let him go, they respected his firm determination and approved his resignation. No reasons were given for Takizawa's resignation.

Takizawa was appointed CEO of Johnny's Island after retiring from showbiz in December of 2018. As CEO, he has trained Johnny's Jr. members, produced groups such as Snow Man and SixTONES, and has been involved with stage directing.

Inohara was appointed as a the succeeding CEO as the late Johnny Kitagawa wanted someone with Johnny's Jr. experience to nurture Johnny's Jr. members. On Inohara, who joined at the age of 12, has experience in Johnny's Jr. and V6, and a father of two children, the company commented, "From his deep understanding of children who grew up with different values than our times, and the way he raises his children, we expect that he will listen to the Jr. members and expand their abilities."

Inohara plans to carry out his activities as a talent and take on the role of CEO at the same time. One of his first jobs will be supporting Higashiyama Noriyuki and KinKi Kids' Domoto Koichi in producing the stage show 'JOHNNYS’ World ~Next Stage~' which will take place on January 1 at Tokyo’s Imperial Theatre.

20th Century to hold their first nationwide tour in 14 years

20th Century have announced that they will hold a nationwide tour titled '20th Century Live tour 2023 ~Bokutachi 20th Century desu!~' next year.

It's been about 14 years since 20th Century held their last tour '20th Century LIVE TOUR 2009 HONEY HONEY HONEY' back in 2009. For their upcoming tour, they are scheduled to perform at Billboard Live venues making them the first Johnny's artist to perform at these venues with a live audience.

In addition, 20th Century will digitally release two brand new songs on December 19. One of the songs is called "Tsurai Chapter," and it was composed by Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra's Kawakami Tsuyoshi (B), written by Yanaka Atsushi (Sax), and arranged by sugarbeans. Meanwhile, the other number is "Maple to Kimi to," which is described as a song with a warm atmosphere and comforting groove that was written by Inohara Yoshihiko and composed/arranged by Tomita Keiichi.
